My choice homebuy for thames valley housing surrey

Our purhcase price therefore is less than £190000, can someone please tell me where I can find a 3 bed house in surrey for that?! We could barely afford a 2 bed flat round here for that!
Shortly every where at this rate of price falls. Be patient and wait, don't go for the negative equity option, rent instead.:exclamatiScams - Shared Equity, Shared Ownership, Newbuy, Firstbuy and Help to Buy.

I spoke to someone on tuesday who said i'd get one in just over a week... hoping you're right and he's wrong! We've found our house but have been told that we can't do anything until this long awaited pack arrives! So frustrating.0 -
Got mine this morning!!! Finally we can get somewhere! The pack contains the exact same brochure as last year, no different. There is a 3 page print out though which has some extra info and a check list. The main differences I see are...
As a guide your mortgage should be 3x single income and 3.5 x joint. I think the words 'as a guide' show there should be some flexibility on that, depends on your IFA.
You can have no more than 5k in savings. I'm sure last year you could have 10k but could be wrong.
Oh and the loan rate is up to 1.75% if you didn't know that already.0 -

Same here!!!! It's driving me nuts!! I'm worried the flat we are after will sell if it takes much longer!!!Offer accepted on new home - 23/04/09

Hi there,
I would like some advise if poss...
Me and my partner bought our 1 bed flat 2 1/2 yrs ago using the homebuy loan from Thames valley. I am a teacher in Surrey.
We borrowed 20% of the property, which at the time was 29k.
We are now looking to move as we want 2 bedrooms and a garden. I have tried to contact TV (IMO they seem to be useless at communicating!)
They told me to look in all my previous paperwork, the thing is we hardly received any paperwork from TV.
I'm thinking we can't use the loan towards our next property.
Any advice from anyone please?
Thx

I don't think 'mychoice homebuy' was around 2.5 years ago, so i assume your loan was a keyworker grant of some sort? I think it is possible, an old friend of mine bought a flat a few years back with a government loan (not sure if it was through TVH or not though) and then when she moved house 2 years ago she got another loan to help towards that. Don't know if it was a brand new loan or if it was a transfer. She's a teacher in surrey too. Sorry, not much help!0
