OK.... I wasn't going to comment, but it seems you're inviting guesses..... I know who one of your sock puppets is.... I've even exchanged PM's with him..... as you well know when I told you it was a little "transparent"

You must be getting me mixed up with someone else JB, I've never received a PM from you, though we have exchanged posts in here and on the MFW board.

I'll just make a small point here. I don't have an alias - why would I? You know what I do, rant and make funnies, but I do it under one name. I don't need to pretend to have arguments with myself, or to give myself thanks, or to set myself up in order to make some lame punchline.

I just do what I do, and it seems to go down quite well.

So do me a favour, or give me some credit. What would I need a puppet for? Plus if you knew me you'd know I'd rather spend my time making smart alec comments than faffing around with gmail and firefox in order to run multiple identities.

This is supposed to be fun, not a chore.

I find it a chore to bother with MSE when you don't know who the heck you're talking to. OK, I know it's all anonymous, but when I see a Mewbie, Chucky, Dopester, ad44downey, etc post, I know what to expect and who to avoid. When people start using aliases it muddles everything up and I get all confused (I'm easily confused).

I even get quite upset when a 'newbie' attacks me completely out of the blue, and I'd try reasoning with him/her to see what the matter was, not realising (initially) that it's just yet another ad44downey/carolt/!!!!!!? pseudonym and that I'm wasting my time trying to befriend them because they're part of the 'Hate Team'.

Incidently, Jojil is one of carolt's sockpuppets. She has been idle since the last time carolt was in trouble, but as carolt is now back on the scene I have no doubt she will soon be activated. Chucky - you should have a look at her history, she was 'utilized' when you were arguing with !!!!!!?, carolt's online lover...

classic sad use of sockpuppets. Now Brodder's 'WFT', 'Sockpuppets' & 'Pickles90210' are so obviously a joke, that they're OK in my book. :)

OK.... so all these similarities are purely coincidental and you won't mind me saying how remarkably similar they are and how I'm not surprised everyone thinks you and Topov are the same person.

    eg.
You and Topov both have a liking for football and frequent the same forum, both supporting Man Utd.
Evidence includes: (hope the second one works... its from a locked thread which doesnt let you quote but I've cobbled together the code)

How amusing. Were you trying to "hit a nerve" when you did your original post? On the football forum I frequent, they call people who do that a WUM (Wind Up Merchant) and on here they call them trolls.

    Topov wrote: »
Thanks, smashedbooboo. I have used vBulletin forums before (football mainly) and have seen some humdinger arguments and troll attacks. I imagine its more serious here though because people open themselves up more when they discuss their financial problems and so trolls can really get under their skin.

    Topov wrote: »
There is not much personal info to give away on the football forums, except which team you support and as I support the Champions of England and Europe, there isnt much you can say about that team to upset me

Topov was setting up pensions about the same time you were looking at it for your company as you started to go self employed etc

I'm looking to set up two personal pensions, one for myself and one for my wife. Neither of us have company pensions and so we both need to make our own arrangements. We can put away about £300 each per month. I have about 10k in an old money purchase company pension that i would like to transfer and my wife has about 5k in a stakeholder.

We have read the isa v pension thread and feel that at this time a pension is probably the better option for us, at least until we have built up a reasonable amount because of the tax rebate.

You and Topov both have a disabled daughter.

My wife received a carer's allowance for taking care of our daughter. Our daughter is now at school and so my wife is thinking of returning to teaching (primary schools) and has signed up for a refresher course.

The course pays £150 per month and is over 10 months. My wife will receive the money (£1500) once the course is complete and will then look at picking up supply work that will fit in around our daughters school timetable.

Does anyone know if the £150 pm will affect her CA? She also receives £380 pm from me to act as my secretary (I have my own small business).

We're the same. Filled in a huge number of forms, supplied loads of supporting evidence from Doctors and specialists and jumped through hundreds of hoops and we finally got support for our daughter.

It left us exhausted and wondering whether the actual qualification for getting your kids support is simply to have the stamina to go through all that crap.

You both railed against carolt when you think she accused you of swapping "suggestive" PM's with oldMcDonald

    Topov wrote: »
maybe thats because he didnt pm no one and you just made it all up using your other logon. the only people who do dirty PMs are you and !!!!!!?, its well known on here that your a mucky cow. you should spend more time with your husband and kids and less time on here and then maybe you wont need to get sexual on the internet. you hussy.

It has been suggested several times that they are having some sort of PM relationship. I couldn't comment on that, except to say that if it's true and they do swap racy PMs then my only concern would be about the fact that carol has children and a husband and I think they should be considered.

I know some people think PM flirting is just a bit of fun, but people can get hurt. Think of the children.

I could, no doubt, find more... but don't think I need to.

Those who complain longest about sockpuppets usually have one. Not all of course. But most. You certainly complain about them. And you certainly do have at least one DD!!! IMO.

Of course, when this is all explained away I'll hang my head in shame, go bright red, and apologise profusely.

As usual I agree with some of what you say, but not quite all. I like to make a connection, to know who this person is or that, to feel that there is a genuine response. Gradually you get to have an idea where most people are coming from, what makes them laugh, happy, angry, whatever.

Some of the sock puppet stuff has been amusing, but in my view is outweighed by the nastier use of them to undermine other posters. It may be 'funny' to see your enemies being attacked, but it's not really very nice.

By all means lets argue, fight and fall out - but lets do it over real issues not underhand nonsense.

great work jonny. I just hope you're not after my job. :rotfl:

Dithering Dad is outed as a sockie for a 2nd time.

Oh no your job is quite safe. In the main I can't be arsed with it but sometimes people need to be reminded of things.
I suspect you too are controlled by someone who complains about sockpuppets but I've not worked out who you are yet. Perhaps you too will one day slip up.... or perhaps you too will realise you are simply part of the machine.
