Recording BBC Red button programmes

The BBC are showing the practice(not qualifying) of the Aussie GP on Friday and Sat mornings in the early hours.
To watch them 'live' you go to BBC1 and press the 'red button'.
I want to record them on the Sky HD box(or Sky+ box) for later viewing. Alternatively I have a VCR.
Is there any method available to record these programmes?
I suppose they may show them on I Player.

There is no Sky Channel
I don't have Freeview connected to any recording device - I get all my programmes via Sky.0 -
I have just recorded from Sky TV BBC News "Red Button" direct to an external DVD/HDD recorder.
They are showing BBC School Report today and daughter was on tv.
Sky + would not record it.0 -
I'm in the same position, surely there's some way to record from the "red button" onto sky+0

I'd imagine most DVB-T cards/USB sticks for PCs come with software that can do it. Otherwise, MythTV.0

Yes but to record the programme I want I would have to get up at 3am - which rather defeats the object.
I have scoured the BBC site to no avail and sent them an email.0 -
Could you not set TV to show "Red Button" program before going to bed and have recorder on a timer program.
See this as well:

Hi,
You can tune in the BBCi channels manually, therefore allowing you to record them as it is a TV channel.
1-Press the SERVICES button on the Sky remote,
2-Select SYSTEM SETUP
3-Select ADD CHANNELS
4-Change Frequency to 27500
5-Change polarity to 12441 V
6-select FIND CHANNELS.
...this should bring up the BBCi 'Red Button' channels. Store them, and you should now be able to view them as individual TV channels!
PS: Qualifying is repeated on BBC1 at 1pm on Saturday.Profit=sanity

Thanks
Post #4 indicates it is not possible to record the Programme on Sky+ even in 'real time' i.e. with the programme on live.
However I would be able record to a VCR, except the Red Button it is not always active i.e. pressing it now will not give me any choice of programmes to display.
Thanks for the AVforum link - it appears we are stumped.0 -
My above reply should allow you to record to VCR, but not to Sky+!Profit=sanity
