Notice of Pending Legal Action from Paypal

How do I fight this? It has been going on for 2 years.
Don't bother fight it, just ignore them.
You don't owe them anything, you complied with their instructions, it's not your problem if the hungarian bloke had them over.
Don't mistake paypals lame threats of debt collectors with baliffs."Love you Dave Brooker! x"

Finally last week, after receiving a notice of intended legal action, I phoned, and they agreed to return it to Paypal as a "refusal to pay". sooner or later I know this will end up in court as I am simply NOT paying £150 extortion money to Paypal.
Find me one example of where Paypal has taken *any* ebay user to court.
They dare not, if they lose, which they very well might, then their suspect practices and threats would fall flat.
They're not even based in the UK!"Love you Dave Brooker! x"

I've just come across this thread and it's got me thinking about how Paypal have ripped me off.
About this time last year, I sold a mobile phone on Ebay, and the winning bidder sent me the money (approx £120) via Paypal. Everything was fine, I posted the phone via special delivery so that i had a tracking number, and the winning bidder asked me for the tracking number. I emailed the tracking number (and still have the email to prove it). I tracked the parcel via the royal mail website, and it also showed me the signature of who it had been signed by.
Anyway, a few weeks later, I got an email from Paypal saying that there was a dispute and apparently a fraudulent transaction had been carried out. They asked me to give details of the transaction, and proof of delivery etc.... At this point they had taken the money from my paypal account, so I was therefore in minus figures. They kept demanding that I repay the money to them, and put my account back to zero. I provided all information to prove that I hadn't done anything wrong, and the case went on for a few months. Eventually, it was decided that the other side won, so I lost both the mobile, and the £120. I had given up on fighting it and just paid off the money to paypal.
Is there anything that I could do?
Thanks0 -
You should have won on the basis you could prove delivery. if you had found this site earlier we would have talked you through what to say to paypal.
They are in breach of their own terms and conditions if you had online proof of delivery.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Hi,
Thanks for your reply. Is it possible for me to do anything about it now?
Thanks0 -
Hi, as you can see by my thread. I also have experienced exactly the same thing, sold a mobile, 6 months later a chargeback occured stating it was due to fraudulent use of credit card. I didnt have tracking number. But buyer had left pos feedback saying it had been received. Didn't hear anything else until now- 3 years later from a debt collectors. I will fight it. not sure you can if you have paid up! Paypal are ruthless x0

Hi Dipsy we should meet!! LOL I am at exactly the same stage. I am currently waiting for NCO to get back to me with breakdown of costs and copies of all stuff relating to fraudulent transaction. Interesting what the other guy says about reading NCO have bought a load of debts from Paypal for 20p in the pound maybe I will offer them 20% of the total debt (only if all else fails, but I am very determined)0
