I have been into Boots this lunch time.....and i've won 1000 points

Absolutely delighted, if it wasnt for this thread and newsletter, i probably wouldnt have gone into Boots for another 3-4weeks as i dont buy things from there often.

I have to go quite a way to find a Boots big enough to have one of these machines. Incidentally, I got my Boots newsletter today, there's nothing about it in there. And it lists my points, and points waiting for collection (which are 0 btw). Just gonna check on the buttons in the newsletter to see if they mention anything. Finishing this first as pc has a habit of overwriting open pages!

I think it is an April Fool - or at least a wind up - surely Boots would advertise the fact just to get folk into the store - after all, if they go in to use the machine, they may also purchase something, yet there is absolutely nothing on the website.

Great advice I know just how you feel, the machines are quite often out of order at my local Boots (Telford, Shropshire) A few weeks ago I actually phoned before I went to ask if they were working and was told Yes. guess what= NOT. I am a pensioner and have a free bus pass so did not cost to make the journey and I have all the time in the world to shop around for bargains but I was hoping Mad to think someone with a family may have made the same call, journey, paid bus fare or petrol, took time out of a busy day all because their Customer service had obviously not bothered to check and merely fobbed people off on the phone.

Sorry for the rant but its a particular Bee in my bonnet. My heart goes out to families at this time. and its families who deserve all the help they can get.
I have no time for The pity the poor pensioner brigade. We are in my opinion
quite well off.

Yeah - ok, mebbe not. I still wonder why Boots not plugging it tho', as it would obviously draw in loads of people - mind you I guess Moneysavers are doing it for them! this is a defo promotion and not an april fool...i went in to local boots this afternoon swiped card and it said congratulations it then makes you print off a voucher to take to the checkout...so they can put on your card...
