    Please help!

I have just received an email from Rachel regarding Audible points saying that these were only credited once I had actually spent the £14.99 subscription fee.

I'm sure this wasn't the case when they advertised the 1000 points on joining the audible.co.uk website(with the benefit of a 30 day trial and 2 books). Can anyone remember? They've now taken the offer off as far as I can see so I can't check on the wording.

I've found misskool's post from a while ago which says:

There's an offer on pigsback to get 1000 piggypoints for joining audible.co.uk and they have a 30-day free trial + 2 free audiobooks. When you click to audible's website through pigsback, click on "I already have an mp3 player" on the bottom right hand panel and you should get the 30-day free trial for premium listener.Points are added 14 days later. You can cancel your membership anytime within the first 30 days.

and that backs up what I thought and assumed.

Can anyone help? I want to argue with them for my points!

To get the points you had to sign up and take up the 30-day free trial.
This means you have to download the Audible media player and download 2 free books. You can cancel straight away after this and provided you are still within the 30-days of the free trial period, you still don't have to pay anything. ;)

EDIT: bkm, if you log into your Audible account does it show that you have free book credits worth £14.99 to use up? It's been a while since I used this offer, but I think all you need to do is to download your 2 free books in order to "spend" the £14.99 credit.
  • I've emailed Pigsback about it via their 'contact us' link. I hope they won't be too long in replying. I'll post here when I have any more info.

Good luck! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

I had problems with Rpoints when I got napsterlight rather than napster (I upgraded to get the points), but they are a lot tighter than pigsback.

Hmm, wonder if they're going to say the same about the Napster offer as well...

Very cheeky if you ask me
