But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free;)
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D
Today i will:
- check online banking -
- update spreadsheets
- move some money to savings
- make a loaf in breadmaker
- storecupboard lunch and tea
- laundry hokey cokey for OH
- ironing for me
- reduce, reuse,recycle one thing
- swim and jacuzzi to use gym membership
- aim for no spend day
- plant some more seeds and do some work in garden
- sparkle a lot - stripey socks socks today
- use lots of smilies to cheer me up

Hopefully will get some pepper and tomato plants moved to greenhouse at lunchtime which will give me room for more seedlings in the flat:D
Sending hugs to all the poorlies xxx
Have a great day everyone - will catch up with you all later xxx

Morning all
Pouring with rain here, kind of matches my miserable mood!!
Been off work all week now, am actually feeling a bit better today which is good, but I think because I've been in all week (apart from school runs) I'm starting to climb the walls!! Today is officially my last day off sick, as I dont work on Fridays anyway, so I will be back to work on Monday. DH is working late shifts this week, which means he is asleep all morning, then goes to work in the afternoon, & gets home after I'm asleep! So we dont really see each other!
Money wise, things are ok, am keeping to my budgets etc, & havent run out yetSo thats all good. Just need to shake myself up a bit I think!
Soooo.....today:
- Check online banking
- Sweet & Sour chicken & mushrooms & rice for tea (chook in freezer, sauce in cupboard)
- Washing - hang on airers (see weather report above)
- Hoover & tidy lounge
- Change our bed
- Check my seeds and have a nice chat with them
- Make DH packed tea to go to work so he doesnt buy anything
- Sort DH's drawers of clothes while he is at work & get rid of old cr*p that he doesnt wear
- Make a Boots list - got card statement yesterday, got £12 of points! :T So the shampoo/deodrant that I was going to buy in Tescos on Sat will come off that list and onto a new Boots list.
- Younger DD is supposed to be having a sports thing this afternoon - but not if the rain keeps up I fear. Fingers crossed that it stops!
Thats better, feel a little more focussed now!
Have a lovely day everyone xxx0 -
