Are you able to access the account online?

If the account has gone AWOL, then you won't be able to gain access to the account.

hi, OH used to work in the egg loan servicing team and says this is a common issue...but doesn't understand how the person you spoke to didn't get it!!

what they have done is create a dupplicate account with your previous/current details in, so the system would let you apply for a card. this is sometimes necessary, then the two folders (old details and new folder) you have are merged back together. OH says try calling them again and say it is a dupacc and ask them to sort it. you could also try logging online again but put dupacc- before your surname. (thats how they hide it..alter your surname)

    hope this helps a bit
lastly...sorry to give you the bad news but he says they haven't lost it!!!

Drat LOL oh well - tried logging in as you said but it's not having any of that either lol I'm not getting my hopes up though - I suspect they'll find it eventually but until then I'd love to dream about them having accidently deleted it ;)

It's little dreams like that that cheer me up ;)

I will try to mail them again later to see if their message system is back up and running - I like to keep things in writing so I have a copy of everything for "just in case" :)

Nope - that's my whole point :) I usually access it online through Egg Money (the management thingy screen) and I can log in but it says I currently have no Egg accounts... I'm just going to sit and enjoy my little ickle dream of them loosing a £6k debt ;) That truely would cheer me up lol What a nice maternity present that would be :rotfl:

Methinks don't rock the boat - but if they say there is no loan ask them to put that in writing for you. Don't cancel the DD until then ;)

Must say i'm surprised at you. £100 on lottery tickets? Again?

Is that 10past 6 offerring babysitting services? :)

LOL I think the most I have ever spent is £3 on lottery tickets... in one go that is :) and the most I have ever won was £10...

My best win ever was from a box of Birds Eye Fish fingers back when they had their be mortgage free competition... They also had a daily £1000 draw and the day I was going wedding dress shopping they sent me a text saying I'd won! Needless to say that instead of window shopping I ended up buying the dress of my dreams (much less than £1000 btw...) the same day :) DH and I still joke that I should have had a little sign on the back saying "sponsored by Birds Eye Fish Fingers" :rotfl:

Don't worry - not cancelling the DD - working on the principle that if they HAVE cancelled the loan that money may or may not find it's ay back to me one day - but if it doesn't then I'll loose no sleep over it as ultimately they might have lost about £6k of debt! Would be a bit much to then ask for my payments back too I think :rotfl:
