never click on any link or image in an unsolicited (spam) email that is how trojans and viruses are spread

I agree with tanto. I get a lot of emails mentioning "a friend" and I just delete them. I also get my hotmail/msn added by people I have no idea who they are and I refuse to accept them. Above all never ever click on any links or attachments unless you know for sure they are from a trusted sender.
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.

Its probably just someone that DOES have your email address and theyve invited you to join as a friend

hiya if you know you are never going to use these sites like bebo, facebook, my space etc just mark as unsafe and put the email into spam or junk folder and you should not get anymore hope this helps elaine22

I agree with that. Thats the most likely thing to have happened. Facebook do it too. It should have the name of the person that want you to be added to their friends. Just ignore it if you dont, or check with your friend if it is them to save you worrying :)
I know my spelling is shocking  It is alot better than it used to be though :rotfl:

i wouldnt join facebook, they use software to gain access to your email account. you have to agree to this to be able to register.

my whole worry with this email i got is if there is someone out there registered on bebo pretending that my email address is theirs and maybe even pretending to be me. they could then be upto no good.
