I tap a little powder into the lid (sometimes easier to screw the lid tightly and shake the whole pot so the inside of the lid is coated), swirl the brush in the powder and then lightly swirl it over my skin. I usually repeat this twice cause I find it looks best to apply a couple of light layers than one really heavy one. I use a smaller brush (like an eyeshadow brush) to dab on spots and anywhere else that needs concealing more.0 -
I thought £18 was the cut-off, but I could be wrong.

That's what I thought tooedited to say - but if it is £7 and customs have stopped it they will contact you to get the duty paid, they don't just send it back or hold onto it - they want money asap.
Seeing as so many of us have had our stuff it probably just got lost in Royal Mail somewhere - you could try emailing them direct and see what they say (better than doing a dispute on Paypal as that's not really giving them a chance to sort it out)Do not feed the trolls please.0 -

I tend to sprinkle a bit onto a make up sponge thing and plaster it on - don't have time to use a brush usually and as I have really pants skin I need quite a lot of coverage anyway. If I get a big pot (or get around to decanting my samples into a bigger pot) I'll probably use my brushes I've had from Bare Escentuals to do the 'put some in the lid, swirl, tap and buff onto the face' technique - but then again, I'm too lazy and always in too much of a hurry so tend to resort to the sponge.
I think (and don't quote me on this) they are going to bring out the foundations in pressed compact form soonish, to be applied with a flat sponge thing, (not 100% sure on the application thing though). I wait with baited breathe!Do not feed the trolls please.0 -
I went into Boots this morning to buy some of the little plastic screw lid containers, the sort you buy to take bits of things on holiday. :cool:I wanted one to mix minerals make up in to blend some colours!!
anyway I thought they were a bit pricey at over £2 for 2 so did'nt bother. :eek:Later in the day I was in a charity shop and found the perfect thing for the job!! :TI got 2 small glass dishes with lids they are green/cut glass and are very small and cute they will look great on my dressing table. ;)The best thing is they were 25p each!!! :jI will save the empty pots the make-up came out of to carry some in my handbag.

What a lovely bargain, Busybody
The tale of my Christmas pudding tubs (mini) is in the thread already, probably more than once. Then last week I was in our defunct Woolies, which has turned into a 99p shop, and I bought a pack of 4 individual desserts (pears, by Dole) in plastic pots with film lids. When I had dispensed the first one I realised that the pot would be a very good swirling & tapping vessel, without the need to degrease like the Xmas pudding pots. And they look nicer cos they're colourless transparent plastic. We'll see how long they last under the stress.

Or make sure you are not putting items in your wishlist instead of your shopping cart. A new website is on it's way apparently that should hopefully iron out the pants design on things like to make it easier to useDo not feed the trolls please.0
