C905 Warranty Period?

I've just got a new C905 after entering into a new deal with Orange. I have declined the offer of insurance because I tend to be very careful with my phones (*touches wood*). However, I've noted that there do seem to be a number of faults and complaints with the C905 flying around the internet. I'm fine with my rights in relation to Orange if the phone becomes faulty, but does anybody know what the manufacturer's warranty period is on a C905? I would assume one year as standard, but I thought I'd check in case it is different.

It is a 'reasonable' period - EU says this should be 2 years, most manufacturers say 1 year - so there's room to argue. However if any fault is arrtibuted to water damage or abuse, you're stuffed as this is classed as misuse, and not the responsibility of the manufacturer.

Yeah I'm aware of the 'reasonable' period grey area, and also aware that most manufacturers pin it down to one year. I was just wondering whether Sony had specified it with the C905, and if so whether they'd gone for the one year or a longer period.

Yeah I'm aware of this too. But as I said, luckily I'm not in the habit of throwing my phone around or taking it for a swim. Thus far I've actually never broken a phone accidentally, and my G600 from the previous contract literally looks like new. Just on the off chance that lightning was to strike with this new (and expensive) phone in terms of faults, I thought I'd know where I stand in advance.

Just seen this thread - there is definitely a 2 year guarantee on the SE phones (it is printed in very small writing on the docs you got with the phone) - although people assume that, as for most electrical type items, it is 1 year. Last year, I took my son's 18 months old K750i into CPW to get it fixed - (dodgy camera) and the assistant told me that there would be a charge to do this. I then pointed out the 2 year warranty - which he then had to check out for himself before he would go ahead. He was actually quite surprised! (Noted now that the Nokia 5800 has a 2 year warranty........)

That would be irritating. But at the same time I still have my trusty old G600, which to date is easily the best phone I have ever owned. I was actually strongly considering not getting a new phone at all until my masculine desire to own the latest gadget got me in its vice like grip. So if I do get unlucky and have to go down that farcical route, at least I have a fine replacement to fall back on.
