I'm more interested in the £6 a month type deals out there, although I haven't fully started researching what useage limits are applied to such deals.

Can you advise what £6 deals you have seen please?
Cheapest I have seen is 3's Broadband Lite at £10, but this is capped to 1GB a month, which is only adequate for very light usage.

It's a shame vodafone dont offer a bigger gig allowance on their PAYG mobile broadband deals. Can only see the 1 Gig deal.

AOL and plusnet, although I except of course I'll probably be paying more for a better service/speed etc.

Sory, cross purposes, I thought you were talking about mobile broadband £6 deals...
Plusnet is only available at £5.99 in 'low cost areas'-did you check if you qualify?
    I not it's £11.99 after 3 months. AOL low cost bb is £4.99 for 1st 3 months only, then it's £14.99.
On both of these you then have the BT line install cost and the line rental on top.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
