What age did you have your boy cat snipped at?

My boy was done at about 18 months, which was when he first arrived in my life.

I recently heard through the grapevine that in the month he was with me before being snipped he managed to father a litter of kittens! I was amazed as he was so skinny and weak when he arrived I'd have not thought he was in any fit state to do so. I've not seen the kittens so am taking that with a pinch of salt, but it does fit with the disappearance and recent re-appearance of a tabby girl visitor.

I was lucky though and he doesn't spray, but he does still get very interested in the (neutered) girls from time to time! Since his condition improved he now has a very broad head and shoulders and is so massive he is having problems with the cat flap - he only just fits through it :o

Unfortunately, having been a really tolerant cuddly cat when he first arrived he is now a lot less so. But this could be a result of other factors (like the girls arriving). Maybe he thinks that them seeing him rolling on his back for a good tummy tickle undermines the macho "He cat" image he appears to value so much. He still sneaks up for a cuddle when he and I are on our own but scuttles off the moment one of the girls comes into the room  Boys!
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

    You got ghey cats:rotfl:

Nah, I just got idiot cats:D

Charlies father & grandfather are huge, amazingly big.
Wondered if the holding down thing was play or maturity;)

Play I think, I've seen it in much younger cats, and also female cats doing it which suggests it is often just as much like the way a mum holds down her kittens to wash them:D

My Mr Tabson is the cuddliest fussiest cat I've ever known... Hubby keeps joking that he's a dog in cats clothing...

He's about 10/11 months old now and we're going to be booking him in shortly... Wasn't an issue before but he's started harrassing Miss Sassi... She's discovered her hiss and growl recently but only for his benefit.... Plus he keeps stinking the tray out! Roll on the good weather when we can start putting it outside...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
