Hee hee! Under my maiden name, I am several Doctors, I am a CEO of a foundation, I am a State Trooper and a Hospice nurse, I have applied to the Indiana Department of Homeland Security, and I have been in Jail in Oklahoma city, I am a teacher and a car saleswoman, a commissioner for human relations/ethics in Florida etc

The first real mention of me comes on page 10 of google and it is not anything related at all to my bankruptcy petition, it is to do with my employment by a charity when I was 17 and I appeared in their annual report!

but sadly when I search "uk only" the insolvency entry is second! :(:(

My married name is fairly common thank goodness!

Mine too was on the first page of google. I wont be changing my name though, yes unusual but I like it. I have a mortgage and should not need to change it unless interest rates go to 9%. I wont be applying for credit so dont give a monkeys who knows I am BR.

I too passed AAT years ago and have not been a member since! I am still working in the same industry, my boss knows I am BR & he is fine about it. The only worry I have is to do with works internet banking as I had to sign a form stating I was not BR. I was'nt at the time. I will keep my head down though and hope I dont have to apply for another job.

god I hadn't even thought about it, just goggled OH he doesn't exist until page 5 and then its his work contacts after page 10 I gave up.
I got to page 11 with mine and I don't exist and thats with the uk filter. We've both got a very unusual surname for the UK but a very common name in France, also I go by my nickname and come up on Google on the 1st entry with that but my BR used my full name. I hadn't even thought about that until I read this post it could be very scary!!
BR as of 16th March 2009

my first entry was because of my 3 peaks challenge andthe second was because of my facebook entry! got to page 14 and nothing about BR, but apparently im a paediatrician in New Zealand, which is very spooky as I grew up there! The next 13 pages were about people with the same surname in Ireland! (that'll please the exhb, more rellies lol)

I just googled myself to see if the IS result came up, I got as far as page 3 and it hadn't, I gave up after that.

But I am a life-coach, masseuse, personal trainer, I have facebook entries in Talahasee and Silicone Valley, I have a make-up range, a holiday villa in Paxos I rent out .......and I am a vampire :D
I didn't realise you were so busy - how did you have time to be bankrupt?:p

My name is far to common so I won't even bother searching. My maiden name is almost as popular as my maiden name so I'll just blend in.

Glad someone has asked this. I was thinking of changing my name for years, way before I even knew I was going BR. Once I knew I was heading for bankruptcy, I thought I would definitely change my name once discharged. Still feel that way now.

I'm not so worried about people in my life now (or people from my past) knowing about me being a BR. I just not sure I will want people I have yet to meet knowing about me. Something I would only know once I met them I guess.

As I was thinking of changing my name anyway (it's too unique), I will probably do it.
