Hi all,
Just a quick question about Credit Cards.
Is it possible to set up a Direct Debit to a Credit Card or something similar. If so, this would be an ideal when used in conjunction with a good cashback card. If not, is there any way to make regular payments from a credit card without actualy having to do it in person?
I'm just thinking that regular, fixed payments like gym subscriprtions, Sky+, etc. could make you money if you do this.
Thanks.

Yes it called a CPA (Continuous Payment (Credit/card) Authority), but it has one major pitfall in that once you agree to it you will not be able to stop it. It can only be cancelled by the company you have authorised to take payments. I stongly advise against it as you'd be surprised just how many organisations continue to take payments when they should have been stopped.

Thanks for starting a thread like this. Something I've noticed this week that relates to this.
I pay my three bills (mobile phone) by direct debit. At the back of my paper bill it indicates that direct debit and recurring card payments save me £3 a month. So, if I set up a CPA, that would cost me the same as the direct debit. Have people had problems cancelling their CPAs with Three?
(I have tried to search those threads/links posted here but the search is not very good).0
