5-7 working days with my ISP.
Did you just happen to get BT? Oh dear.0

but i guess its up to BT when they connect you.0

I gave up & hassled them for a few days running (Virgin said it was up to BT & that it would be very busy as it was a new exchange).
Co-incidentally, it just switched on to BB on the day I got the last "it will happen when it happens" email.
So, maybe worth a few "polite" emails asking for news....0

5 working days or 7 days in general - ordered on Friday, turned on the following Friday! 0 0

When ordering broadband part of the process is the ISP will ask BT to switch on the exchange to your telephone line to allow your broadband.
A list of exchanges and their planned updates are on http://www.samknows.com/broadband/
Once this has been done by BT it is then up to the ISP to turn on your account. Some ISPs turn it on before BT fiddle with exchange some wait til BT have had a fiddle
I know Nildram are reasonably quick and at the moment Virgin are taking their time."Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity"0

well aware of sams site, being the campaigner for my exchange. been over a year on the campaign trail.
 you get different, conflicting information.
some being enabled 5 days after exchange is live.
 me, having 14 days.
wonder if its more to do with BT wanting to connect a minimum amount of lines at once, not bad if doing 10 lines at £50 a time0
