Hi - likewise, I'll have a look at your pm later tonight - and yes, around 50% of LPAs now charge for informal advice unfortunately, although really it should be linked to the cost of an application, so the £380 sounds a bit steep in my opinion!0

Gosh, I feel a bit overwhelmed at all this help. Thank you so much.0 -
This is becoming more and more common now. Some councils we deal with want us to pay £1600 per hour for simple advice. madness.
When I was selling to a developer before they submitted a planning application they paid £1,200 for a meeting at which "they were given a steer" as to what would not be acceptable". They took heed of the advice and abandoned their original plan. They then had another "£1,200 steer" before actually putting in an application. The application was refused................................I have put my clock back....... Kcolc ym0 -

What area are you in?
I may have someone in mind0 -

As this particular site is quite complex, the issues are very much planning related ones - complying with rural policies etc, both national and local ones - so I would recommend choosing a chartered town planner who is RTPI qualified - from http://www.rtpiconsultants.com/index.php - you can search for Hampshire on there and it shows practices and consultants who work in that area, along with practice profiles showing what types of work they do - perhaps look for one that specialises in rural planning.0
