Claiming PPI from HSBC

Options
Hi, I'm going to start claiming the PPI back from HSBC on behalf of my boyf.

He's paying approx £24 o month ppi. He was told at the time he had to have it or he wouldn't get the loan. Also he is emplyed on a farm but he has no contract with the employer would this affect it??

Not really sure what to do to start anyone help please??

Thank you

Emma

    Hi Emma

He may have a case here then, to be told anyway he "had" to take the ppi to have the loan then that is one of the reasons of mis selling, contract wise I am not too sure, but anyway there is a link below to help you through this.

There is some useful PPI info and letter templates, they have 8 weeks to respond in full, obviously add his own reasons, post by recorded delivery to ensure proof of posting.

Write back to them again if not successful first time with futher information if you have to and keep on at them until he receives the final response, also in the final response they should give details on how you can take this further, such as with the financial ombudsman service.

Hi there, you could do this, but if you can check out the terms and conds first, the choice is yours, but some expect you to take out a new loan without the PPI, best check it out first, good luck hun and keep us posted.;)

    Hi hun

Apologies, thought I did reply........:o, but anyway, did you inform the FOS about your pregnancy?

Sometimes the FOS will reconsider looking at your case, maybe you were not well enough to continue through your pregnancy????

I would contact the FOS, let them know this situation, and ask if your able to submit your case to them due to your personal reasons.
    Good luck.;)X

No I didn't get that far only sent the first letter. I wasn't very well with being pregnant and i had to move down to be with my boyfriend, trying to sell my house, starting a degree and working full time it got forgotten tbh. Now i'm on maternity i have a bit more free time so want to pursue it again.

So write directly to fos EXPLAINING THE SITUATION IS THE NEXT STEP
