Freeware to extract pages from a pdf file?

Hi everyone,
does anyone know of any freeware that will allow me to take a pdf copy from pages in a long pdf file?
I have a copyright licence for the file so I could print it and rescan but I wondered if there was an easier way.
The file contains lots of graphics so I dont think a cut and paste would work.
Many thanks

Try www.zamzar.com for file conversion. Simple and easy to use and will easily convert to word file for example allowing you to cut and paste the parts you want.0

Conversion uploads are often fraught with problems where pdf processing is concerned: some of the sites offering the service are worse than useless.
As to freeware. . . I tried numerous offerings and all of 'em had significant draw backs -- inaccuracy, distortions, etc.
The best converter out there, from MediaVigor software, retails at $60 so it's perhaps unsurprising that freeware doesn't get close to the performance of MediaVigor's PDF Converter (which converts from pdf into Rich Text Format, not MS Word, though it's only a couple of seconds' work to finish off the process manually.)
Amazingly, MediaVigor gave this software away not too long back on giveawayoftheday -- very probably, the best GOTD freebie there's ever been. Hopefully, it'll reappear, because GOTD offerings are often repeated. Perhaps you'd better keep an eye out, just in case!
Meantime, you may find pdf2word worth a try:

The app is small and isn't resource hungry. It's free and isn't riddled with spyware or toolbar options etc.
I had variable results with it but in general it was more accurate and quicker than other freeware apps which purported to do the same job but were actually a waste of time and a waste of space.
Certainly, if it's only the odd page or two you're looking to deal with, then it's worth downloading and trying out, you can always Revo it afterwards.
The on-screen post-conversion looks weird because of text boxing but that doesn't show up in any finished print-out. Might've been better if the developer had gone the RTF route rather than trying to manage an instant transition into MS Word.

A simple one is Cute PDF0

But isn't the freeware Cute PDF just a pdf creator?
Not a PDF-to-whatever converter?

Hi there,
I use PDFOnline to make PDFs out of word docs for free online. Works great!
There is a PDF to WORD facility there but I've never tried it so not sure how successful it would be.0 -
You could try pdftohtml0
-
CutePDF will do that - it works by letting you print to a pdf file.
So all you need to do is go to the document, click Print, and in the print setup choose the pages you want to keep and then press print.
So its basically the same as only printing a few pages out of the document.
