On 23rd Jan I bought a Proline fridge from Comet. This has now stopped working, although power is getting through because the light is working. The fault has been reported to Comet and an engineer is visiting.
I dont want a repair, as I believe this would negate my rights under the Sale of Goods Act. After this time, can I insist on a refund. This would enable me to buy a new fridge and start my protection from scratch, or am I obliged after 2 months to accept a replacement.
Thanks

Post on the Consumer Rights Thread.
That is what it is there for.
I t won't negate your rights as they have the right to offer a repair.
Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -

No, accepting a repair doesn't take away your right to reject or alternative remedy at a later date if the repair is not sufficient/suitable, so there is no harm in letting the engineer have a look.0
