This is a good point... Should be a warning to everyone. There are quite a few people on here who like to give advice but do not have a penny to there names! The people that comment all day every day are likely to be one of two things, very rich and have nothing better to do OR unemployed and living in a dream world where they have savings to look after.0 -

LOL!
I know a guy who is a little over-weight. He likes to save up cash over the month, then he goes to a very swanky bar in London and pretends he is minted, buys some champagne etc... Ussually ends up taking a hot money grabber to a hotel he knows the owner of and leaves quick in the morning - Sounds like Beta0 -
so if ETC's are not the way in, how do you access the market?0

Yes mate i am in the process of claiming housing benefits now.
Im not sure why you are laughing about this?
Or trying to make it sound like i dont know what im talking about?
Just because im not rich doesnt mean im not skilled at what i do mate.
I started with just £759, and made over £30,000 profit in the last 7months of last year. (all documented day by day n can be proved if you care t check out my trading journal)
The reason why i dont have loads of money saved up though is because when your trading for a living from such small capital (under 10k), and having to withdraw nearly 2k each month,
it is EXTREMELY hard to save any money up.
Im not going to get into aa debate with you though about if i know what im talking about n if my claims were true.
if you dont want to believe me its fine, you can think im some kinda sap who just sits around all day making up stories about stockmarkets!
But the fact is that my food and bills dont pay themself and money isnt just floating into my bank each month to cover them.
P.S If you want to see abit more about me just google my trading name mate. :T
'Spanish89'
Or just checkout my daily trading journal- http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?threadid=134046
Or just google the website, elite trader, and see how my journal has been given authority status by them and used as 1 of the sublinks on google even! :beer:0 -
Brilliant. I've been looking for one of you.:j
What's the best ETF for taking adavantage of increases in the oil price?
And, aren't there stockpiles of oil round the world which will depress the oil price still further before it spurts off into the stratosphere again?
Thanks
Aloha the oil etf is called USO.
i wouldnt advise investing the the etf though, and would instead just buy the crude oil futures contract, and you can then just leave it on for as many months or years as you want.
(Since the etf prices are higher than the actual market, and when markets liek oil spike up the etf normally lags)
And in relation to your 2nd question, if your interested in oil stockpiles every wednesday afternoon the usa energy deprtment release data about the number of barrels of oil they have in storage that week, gasoline number, refiniery usage... ect
It comes at around 3.30pm
if you want to trade the number live you need specialist audio oil news service, as theres reaction within fractions of seconds of the number breaking.
But if you are just curious and want to see it about 15seconds after it comes out heres the link to the economic news calandar-
http://www.forexfactory.com/calendar.php?
while stockpiles were mainly rising for the previous 8months, an combined with the stronger dollar oil prices were being pushed down,
now that opec have cut supply 2x, and the fact that what geintner (usa treasury) did lat week about deciding to put usa into hyper inflation, oil prices have been surging.
And theres going to be more focus now on increased demmand as economy recovers, especially from china.0 -
Oh, this is brilliant!
The poster is claiming on the link that he posted that he owns a car washing business, and employs girls to do it for him.
Clearly a fantastist living on the dole in some bedsit somewhere. From Poland...with love.

Their books are lying on the floor.
The books are sitting just there on the floor.0 -
Hi,
I currently have £21,000 saved up at the moment. Which has taken me years as I earn a salary of £15,000 and am able to save up a big percentage of my salary because I still live at home with parents. Eventually I want to move out and have my own property (I'm 22 now). What is the best thing to do with my money to earn a high interest?
I currently have £3,600 in an Abbey ISA earning 3%, I think. And the rest is all in my Abbey and C&G normal savings account (interest 0.1%) I think.
Thanks;)
Fav in the 1000 guineas looks pretty special but what do I know'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -

Also when you buy anything online, see if you can get it through a cashback website.
I'm interested in being paid for completing surveys.
Anyone a member of the three sites suggested and how much pa can you earn???No reliance should be placed on the above.0 -

Seriously don't bother, you have to fill out a massive questionaire just to get in the pot to be selected, then they send you links and half way through the survey tell you you are inelligable. It took me about 5 hourse to make 50 pence. Steer well clear if I was you.0
