Unfair Decision Dogging Me For Years

I hope your not fronting, ala commiting fraud...
Is anyone else getting a bit fed up seeing accusations/suggestions of fronting on every second thread here? The OP hasn't said anything to suggest he is fronting. He said he had signed the vehicle into his partners name and insured it their name. As far as I can see there is no mention of him lying to his insurers. As long as he has been honest with the insurer (which the vast majority of people are) there is no problem.0 -
the working of his post not set any bells off "forced to create a work-a-round ..."
Here wife have this policy in your name and i will drive round.
i may be wrong ... in which case i could not care less, i speak to dodgy pretend whiplash people all day, i know the game.0 -
I agree with Quentin and ZKW29.
Fronting is wrong and should not be encouraged but it does not do any good accusing people of fronting all the time0 -

Insurance quotes are based on hundreds of things, not just incidents like these. Your occupation, location, mileage, driving record, criminal record etc all have an effect.ChimeraBespoke wrote: »Now some 4 years on and I'm still being overcharged for my car insurance..
I pay £98 a month, with a £600 excess.. but I've never had a motor accident in my life???? plus I'm now living in Somerset.. where a normal quote would be £40-£45 Pcm with £50 excess..
There has to be something else pushing your price up. A fault accident in 2005 for a small amount of damage to another vehicle would not inflate prices like that. Are you in a dodgy occupation? How old are you? Have you got points? Your address might not be as 'safe' as you think it is.0 -
I live in Bishops Lydeard .. just outside Taunton.. very quiet.. no crime..
I have never had an accident, nor had a criminal record..
I'm self employed , I make and sell Stormtrooper armour and run a charity fundraising organisation.
I'm 38 , no points with currently over a year and a halfs NCD or two as of July 29th..
I pay 98.51 PCM over 12 mths.0 -
You need to shop around for a better deal, try a local broker as they may be able to help.
P.S Becareful if you are thinking of cancelling your current policy as there may be penalities0 -

What kind of car is it? What level of mileage do you do? Is the car alarmed/immob'ed?
The self employed will push it up - presumably you have business cover on there (class 2 or 3 for selling)?
A lot of people retire to Taunton. It's quite possible the place is rated for accidents caused by those of an older persuasion causing more accidents. It's not just your details that determine the price

Out of curiosity when you are applying for insurance do you often struggle when it comes to entering your job description?
I can't say I have ever seen armourer for the Dark side listed as an option.
