Still think your boyfriend should go and thump the idiot in the other room and then go and sort out the spider. Is he a bit of a whimp?

I'm not adding the spiders as a factor of whats wrong with the house, I understand that they're usually in every house at some point, I was just having a giggle.
He isn't happy with him but neither am I, what good would voilence do?

It may just get him to show a little consideration.

But yes, if we had let her rent the front room out, we would have no access to either because it would be someones bedroom.
The girl who moved out at christmas used that room, and for months we had to just use the back door. Which meant passing the trash every day also.

Believe me I've considered hitting him myself, heh. On the plus side it might get us kicked out, haha. But no, it wouldn't do any good.

    OP

Stop posting on here, & call your local council NOW.
Your place sounds like a total death trap.
The flatmate issues are a pain, but not a major concern (certainly not the council's problem).
However, if you cannot get to the front door. Cannot get to the mains gas stop c*ck, & you LL is pretending to bailiff that s/he is not your LL, then you have much bigger problems than your unreasonable flat mate.

I think Halls of Residence suit anxious people a lot better than shared housing. Find somewhere else, move out and do not leave a forwarding address.

    Hi

I suspect that LL does not have permission to let the house out from her mortgage company or something similar.

iwY86, please talk to the welfare/accomodation adviser and the Council.

Do you have a gas safety certificate, do you have LLs address?
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing

We do have access to the front door now, and the gas meter, however, we're paying £800 a term for it. It's a bit cheeky seeing as we're only using the one room but we're having to rent 2 otherwise we'd lose the front door andaccess to the gas meter.

We don't have the Landlord's address, all we have is the girls boyfriends address where she now lives.

I'm in my 7th month of the contract, I just want to leave now..
