Seriously, this CD is truly awful.

He takes 10 or so beautiful songs and then proceeds to murder, sorry slaughter them [with a chainsaw].

It is deeply annoying listening to them - because to paraphrase Ken Dodd 'he's singing songs I used to like'.

Don't be fooled into thinking 'they'll be OK, after all his version Fairytale of New York was just about bearable'.....you're wrong. For FTONY he had Leanne Rimes singing alongside him and they spent a fortune on production. This CD has obviously been lashed together in a studio in 5 hours as an answer to the question 'how can I get a quick £5m into the bank acct ASAP'.

Save your £7 on Amazon, your blank CDs on Limewire or even just the 3Mb of disc space.....it's woeful, truly woeful

It would be better titled ..."Songs for my Bank Balance"

Ronan really and truly cared for his mother, who now sadly cannot be with him. He has campaigned long and hard to raise awareness of cancer and has also fundraised endlessly. To imply that he used his mothers name in order to simply gain extra revenue and sales is shocking. I firmly believe that when he says they are songs for his mother, that they are true dedications to her and nothing else. If the songs are good or bad is irrelevant, they are still dedications to her
