My gripe with Clarks was that most of their staff who work at weekends are teenagers in a Saturday job.....each time we have bought shoes under these circumstances, we have had to return within 1 - 2 days with a child with blistered feet! No longer use Clarks's as the whole point was to get shoes that fitted properly.
fitting properly and 'wearing shoes in' are 2 different things.

u think 'hop them on and its perfect'?! its not like that for adult shoes so why would kid shoes be any different?!

I was quite horrified to find my sons three week old Jones bootmakers shoes were almost through at the toe and the front was spliting. It was only when I seen him on his scooter using his shoe as a brake that I realised it probably wasn't the shoes fault..

  • I bought a pair of Clarks shoes on friday for my nearly 3 year old daughter, by saturday afternoon they were scuffed! I have bought shoes from Clarks since my daughter could walk and I have never had a problem. I however did take them back to the store and was told that it was normal for a pair of shoes to scuff that quickly. Clearly not impressed I contacted the customer care line and after sending in pictures of the shoes and reciept I was asked to send the shoes in. Well I will not be wasting my time or money doing this and I will not be shopping at Clarks again. I have to save my money to put my daughter in decent shoes and do not expect to feel the need to by a new pair after a days wear.

What do you think shoes are made of? Of course they are going to scuff, your daughter has scuffed them that isn't a fault.

when you say scuff what do you mean because most scuffs can be dealt with by polishing the shoe

however clarks cannot refund your child no matter where you get your shoes from he/she will still scuff them

Why would you feel the need to buy new shoes just because your daughter has scuffed them ? Kids scuff shoes, end of ! Use some polish, it usually covers the scuffs quite well. Alternatively, try steel toecaps.

In my day, we used to scuff our new Clarks sandals by kicking stones on the way home from school, in fact we wanted to scuff them as they looked more lived in.

Parents of today...........please get a grip and stop trying to blame the manufacturer for something kids have done for generations.

PS. I scuffed the bumper on my car.............can I claim back off of the manufacturer?

    The world has gone nuts.
