When registering for itunes is there any way around entering your bank card details? I'm not very keen on putting them in cos I'm never going to buy anything. I just want to get these free songs.

The questions continue....
I already have itunes on my computer, is there anywhere in particular I should be putting the codes to purchase the free tunes, when I press on buy it comes up with my details (already have an account).

Go to Music Store, then under Account (in blue down the left) choose redeem. It then asks for your 12 digit code. Anyone answer my question please?

i don't think so...i've never had security issues with itunes...
i'm not sure whether you could put them in and then cancel your account
anyone else??
p.s. it's not like napster, i.e. you will only be charged if you buy a song/track/video and you have no credits. their customer service is good (in my experience)Thomas Jefferson: "When you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot in it and hang on."
Woody Allen: "If only God would give me some clear sign! Like making a large deposit in my name at a Swiss bank". :think:0 -
Ref getting them into MP3.
The only way I know to do this is to burn to CD as a standard audio CD, then use a utility to rip it back to MP3. I believe Media Player has this option, but my favourite would be audiograbber, and it's free. Make sure you read how to add MP3 ripping to it as it doesn't come as standard, but it's dead easy.0 -

they are vetting apps now (brother did not get auto issue of codes) so im not sure youll get the songs now.... i think they will cancel the offer.

Got the 12 credits - registered just around 8.30pm - so still working ok. My question is - you have to have a 35mb d/load to get Itunes, however Itunes only works with Windows XP or 2000, along with Apples OS so having other than these OS how can I use the codes ?0

Hmmm just in time I fear... Now if I go to their website they say they are "Closed for maintenance"... Hmmm looks like they've just realised what they've done
