Something odd

I have just noticed something odd. I was reading through the thread about motor cyclists and there were posts by someone being referred to by someone else, but I couldn't see them. Why would that be?

I hope this forum isn't going to get like the ridiculous pet forums with people reporting each other and people getting banned. Has anyone else been on pet forums? If you have then you will know what I mean.0

When posts are deleted they disappear, but if they have been quoted then they remain as part of the post they have been quoted in.
MSE is not falling apart at the seams. It is merely suffering the fate of all large fora (nearly 500k users now), in that there are lots of unsavoury characters. I predict a greater drive towards deletion and systems being put in place to stop spammers in their tracks.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -

If you do that you will be taken to the original quoted post unless that post has been deleted, in which case you will be taken back to the start of the thread.
If the post has been deleted that is because the poster has deleted it or more usually Abuse or Admin have deleted it.
That happens regularly and is not unusual.0 -

Get you Miss clever know it all.
The OED says that the plural of “forum” is “forums”.
Some fun comments and discussion (or should that be discussions?) on the subject.

I don't care what the OED says. Forum is a Latin word and its plural is formed with -a. Same as datum has data as plural, stadium has stadia, museum has musea. I stick to what I did learn....Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
flipping heck, now they have moved my post, just to confuse me even more.We don't stop playing because we grow old; We grow old because we stop playing.0
