Apologies if this has been asked 100 times before, but Im quite new to ISAs (well not had one in last few years).
I have an un-used ISA allowance for 2008/09.
Can I open a regular saver ISA before 5th April and continue to pay into it during the tax year of 2009/10 and it will qualify for the tax year 2008/09?

You can open and subscribe to it but it will count as BOTH your 2008/9 and 2009/10 ISA allowances.
You could open and fund an ordinary Cash ISA before the 5th April to use the current year's allowance then a regular saver ISA on 6th April for next year's £3,600.0 -
If you open one now it will qualify for tax for the next couple of weeks only then just continue on to 2009/10 - is that what you meant.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
thanks. that solves that weekend puzzle."enough is a feast"...old Buddist proverb0
