Do you have any useful information about clamping for the OP, at all?

My useful information, by the way, was i hoped he'd get it back but not to hold his breath.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
  • He didnt say we was going to the gym either. His wording suggested that he wasnt, (why was he running?)

he parked, went to the opticians
went back to the car. (if he had been going to go to the gym he would have gone in at this point and complained about the clamped vehicle.

Illegally was maybe not the right word. If he was going to the opticians
he was not entitled to park in the gym car park.

    Take some advice, freemans.

You should really leave it to the likes of Sarah who have forgotten more about this subject than you will ever know - with all due respect.

Notice Toffedan hasnt been back to say whether he was parked unofficially or not.

    "unofficially" - Jeez.

You would make a great mark on The Real Hustle.

It is not relevant. What I had for my tea last night is just as relevant.

Do you not have another forum to offer <hugs> on ? Your advice here is flawed and dangerous and could be seen to be acting on behalf of the scammers.

Similar thing happened to my sister only it wasn't a clamp but a parking ticket.

She refused to pay it and got in touch with the Gym also her local MP in the end the parking co just did not respond so she did not pay.

She was getting debt collectors letters and all sorts but she stuck it out

As you have paid the clamp removal fee I don't think you will have an easy job of getting it refunded

I would not take it lying down though

What does the sign say at the gym or on the car park with regard to parking?

If you signed a gym contract then they will make you pay for the duration of the contract.
  • This thread may help.

This chap got his money back from the scammers. Details of how he achieved it are here.

Do not take it lying down. They have scammed you, ignore what people like Annie Hanlon say, they are clouding the waters.
