God your a narrow minded idiot.
Trying to undermine Western civilisation? Moron.....
India is the world's fastest growing economy, therefore, from an economic standpoint, thats beneficial to you and me in the West. That means more global competition between firms, translating into more variety and selection of goods for our consumption, better quality goods and services, etc.
But then with views like, I wouldn't expect much in the way of understanding.
Also, have you realised that cheaper imports from places like India are just like a tax cut; there is more money left in your wallet at the end of the month. And they create Western jobs, too, which is less intuitive and therefore often overlooked. If you save money on cheaper cotton towels, much of that extra cash is likely to be spent on Western goods and services.
That's just the consumer benefits...I suggest you read this article here, may somewhat steer you away from your right wing views.
And just in case you didn't know, I should point out that the West (America) and India share a unique, common value, that no other countries in the world share.....that is, that Democracy came before Capitalism in both these countries.
If people like you were running the country, we'd all be in dire trouble (altho, that doesn't imply Mr. Blair is doing a better job of things  )0 -
UKays_Finest: instead of replying to people like this use the little red triangle to report it to abuse so that they can deal with it (which I have just done)

Than they scam themselves!!!0 -
exactly the same happened to me last week. twice phone got listed both times someone from india hit bin & asked 4 it to be posted to nigeria. got messages from ebay saying users no longer registered. Sent a second chance offer to the last highest bidder, they accepted then asked if could send me a cheque was a bit wary english not too good but in uk.received cheque & am waiting for it to clear before I send phone. fingers crossed they are genuine..good luck edtheduck hope you get a genuine buyer!God created man

i;d send him an abusive email back telling him where to go and i'd change your listing to say at the top and bottom of the description:
"NO NIGERIAN BIDDERS DON'T EVEN BOTHER IVE ALREADY HAD TO RELIST BECAUSE THIS BECAUSE OF TIMEWASTERS"
dont worry if u think it wil spoil the look of the listing. serious bidders will see that you are a serious seller and feel more comfortable. Don't use buy it now. Also say in your payment options:
"I will only ship to the uk and to the buyer themselves (don't ask me to ship outside the uk, it wont work, sorry)"
That will put off the scammers, they wont bother if they know you are on the lookout for them; they wont waste their time bidding on things they won't get, they tend to pray on n00bies
Come to my garden in South Bucks and i'll find you a wasp...0 -
guess what folks...I've sold my phone on its second listing.... i did put a big notice in red that i was relisting due to Nigerian scammers and that i would only post to UK. this seemed to have worked thankfully.... paypal payment received instantly and the buyer is actually from Northern Ireland..which is quite a nice way for it all to end.. Amazing tho that the size of ebay, i end up selling to a local yokel.
thanks for all your comments and good luck anyone still experiencing problems with scammers. Persevere, don't let the turkeys get you down :-)0
