Isn't that what we did? The thread suggests that its just Labour snouts in the trough - we've demonstrated that its MP's snouts of various parties in the trough.
As for whoever made the Nuerenberg link earlier, there's a similarity between claiming expenses and mass murder is there?0 -

Happily tighter rules come into force next month and it looks like we'll get a proper review to tighten them up further. I heard Nick Clegg making a lot of sense on the PM show today - don't let London MPs claim anything for a second home.
when i used to work in the public sector, i had to go to from my house in kent to lincoln once a week. i could do the return trip in my car at a cost of £130 to the tax payer (so a cash profit for me of £100 after diesel), or alternatively i could go on the train for £30 return, booked in advance.
guess what - i managed to work out that i should go on the train.
if i can do it, so can Our Leaders. i don't give a stuff about what the maximum they are potentially entitled to claim is, what they should be claiming is quite different and every single one of them knows it, regardless of how much they may insist "i've done nothing wrong" when they get caught out.
the only thing i agree with you on this is that no one party has a monopoly on this sort of behaviour.0 -

And another labour one outed.
Already had a house within 10 miles of Westminster, but bought another, because, I guess, well, she could "within the rules innit".
I'm wondering how I manage my 20 mile trip to work now

You have to set an example to all your constituents in Bent?
You might not be there long, with an election coming up, so keep both houses, and make a loss on both?
Remember MP's are after the three P's Power Prestige & Property.0
