Monday 23/3/09 What small dfw things have you done today???

:DWhen we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free;)

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D

Today i will:
  • check online banking - HSvirus.gif
  • update spreadsheets
  • move some money to savings
  • make a loaf in breadmaker
  • storecupboard lunch and teaHShungry.gif

    Hi all

Did read the weekends but didnt post. was a half and half weekend. Lots of frivolous spending as well as a nsd. Didnt do half of what was planned - ok, so none of what I planned but never mind. Today I will

    - source a cheap repair for the car (pup chewed through all the lights wires on Fri and now I can only drive when its light) taking it to work mates husband tonight and got two offers through facebook so good start
    - scratch and click 10p, 10p, 4p, 1p
    - check banking family allowance in but have to go get bigger dog crate for car now :(
    - check credit card as expected - balance coming down
    - meal plan for this week
    - joining the April grocery challenge as have realised that is my biggest downfall
    - check to see if any seedlings have emerged not so far
    - iron and put away clothes (and all the bed stuff I did and dried on the line on Sat although I prob wont iron that)
    - do some of my assignment for OU. 1 due in tonight and 2 due in on Thur eek!
    - work really hard - have a horrible feeling one of the girls in my office isnt going to show up for work today. She was really unhappy last week and so far she hasnt turned up. Could make things quite difficult. she has arrived but still seems very unhappy. Wish I could help her
