I'm never in the shops at the right time to catch whoopsies, but if I did I would take what I wanted and what I could use/freeze/store - in just the same way that if I see good offers on something I buy regularly then I buy as much as I can afford. I dont see that there's any difference. :)
... don't throw the string away. You always need string! :D

It depends what it is and how much it is and how much room is in the freezer at home ;) Our local Tesco is RTC (reducing to clear) lots of finest stuff just now which is good if you get it for half price or less.

I'm still kicking myself for not clearing the whole shelf in Sainsburys a few months ago when they were selling boxes of 20 Tampax for 98p a box. I bought about 10 boxes, but I really, really should have cleared the shelf of the ones that I use.

Buy yourself a mooncup and you'll never need to spend money on Tampax again :T

I buy what I need and can use. If there's six packs, I use it regularly and there's no one else around then I'd take all six. If there was someone else waiting patiently as well though I'd probably only take four, for example, and see if they pick up the others. Anyone breathing down my neck or jamming me in the back with a trolley though doesn't get this courtesy., have to say!

I have to say I never use those aisles in tesco as they are always chaos with people hovering over the poor SA. I have seen people wait and grab it as soon as its on the shelf and I'm just not interested in being part of the scrum!! It looks rude and desperate when they get like that with each other. Barging everyone out of the way!

The Co Op tend to have a lot of reduced stuff in the mornings, dotted all round the place, and I'll pick up the odd bargain, but only what I'll use. They had bargain packs of Ferrero Roche sp? at the tills once for about 99p, so I had 2 and left about 40 others for other people! They were all in date for xmas and the SA said everyone was buying them for presents.
  • I read a post about a perishable someone had bought the other day - got it home and then panicked asking if it could be frozen. Sorry but I did think well for heavens sake if you had just bought what you could use domeone else could be using the rest.

Depends. If there's nobody else, I'll snatch the lot (within reasonable amounts). If there are other people interested in the same product, I try to negotiate to split evenly.
I never buy what I wouldn't use, what would be the point of that?

Depends on the product, love some of the Produce deals they have weeks left on them.Since M & S have started there knocked down deals I find Tuesdays at 3ish locally to me is ideal time, Weekend stuff still hanging around and all the Mum's collecting the kids and the Elder people have ben out and heading home.
Picked up 8 x £10 fresh chickens last week for £3.00 each :j. Kept one gave the other 7 away to family and neighbours. Not every day some of them can afford a nice piece of fresh chicken :D

I 'found' 4 whole legs of lamb reduced to half price in Sainsburys and took the lot.

I will only take what I will use or have room for in the freezer.

Ive noticed the whoopsies at tesco are not great, only a small amount off. For example they had products in the other day for £2.49 original price £3, but on offer for 2 for £5, so basically a 1p saving for the expiry date being the next day.
Asda and somerfield have much better whoopsies.
I got a garlic pizza bread for 25p out of asda, tastiest ever, Im gutted I didnt buy more.
Eh no there shouldnt be a limit to how much you buy. That would defeat the purpose, this is stock the supermarket is trying to get rid of asap, although I am slightly jelous of people that do pile their trollys up with it as they muct have a bigger freezer than I do.
