hi
last year i had a laminated poem and handprint and ive had flowers etc i always keep everything i can
another idea is to make little scented drawer pouches little square bits of material lavender in the middle bunch it up tie with lace and you could sew i love you mum or to mum with love etc its cheap and useful0 -
yellow moon/baker ross are good for ideas - they have design a shoulder bags for about a £1 each - but thats alot of money for a class full! Mine once did a decorated small pringle tub full of fairly large cut out hearts that all said "I love you because" and then they wrote in the end of the sentance - rather tear jerking at the time!
A couple of years ago it was a yakult type tub with a cloth rose in the top so it looked like a vase.
Playgroup they painted a clay plant pot and topped it off with a primula (bought at a vast discount in bulk from the local garage who wanted shot of them!)
Pehaps a saltdough figure or even saltdough made into a broach?
but having said that I'm all for the disposable gifts as well - cakes perhaps?
or roll out icing made into little rectangles with a message iced on a bit like a gift tag.
sorry getting carried away now - will go and lie down for a while!0 -

Mine has a lovely little flower on two sides and I love you Mum with her name.
A treasured possession that I use for pens and pencils
That is a lovely idea, and maybe with a tea light in as a hurricane lanternWork like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0 -
What about asking each child to bring in a large stone, they could paint their message onto it. I decorated stones with my mum when I was small and it brings back happy memories.:)

They supply plan white tea towels.
I do not know if your school hand out the yellow moon catalogue but they might be listed in their. If you buy them from yellow moon you will also get cashback for the school.0 -
Really simple idea, but would mean the world to a mum!
Get the children to have a quiet time and think of some of their mums qualities, can be one for each year of the childs life or it could be upto 10.
Then in nice writing you could write, Mummy, I love you because........
then the children list the reasons, for example, you always read me a story, you look after me when I am poorly, you take me to brownies/cubs/scouts etc etc, then they can decorate it with glitter or paint or whatever, laminate and tie lovely ribbons around them. I know it may not sound much, but when children have thought about the reasons themselves, its lovely and makes mums feel appreciated.February Grocery Challenge £250.00
