Kitchen not looking too bad apart from bloomin' oven which had a deep clean a couple of weeks ago and every time I cook a roast chicken in it, smoke billows out and fat goes everywhere

Have you tried the roasting bags, it saves getting fat splashed around, or so I'm told ;) Can't remember the last roast in this house, mmmm it was prob DH that cooked the last one

    Hi honeys

Sorry not been around but as expected a mad day, just dropped polka a message poor honey we're all thinking of you x Soappie and Jo hope you feel better soon.

Conference stuff is annoying, so many things we're unhappy with that have been done it's boiled my tiddle! Anyway just got to make the best of a bad booking now. Oh and specifically professionals doing my head in :D but they will be told what I think. **grumps** right that feels better, DP already had it both barrels today :o

Anyway meetings done, parents evening done, AGM done, paperwork a mile high not done, 2nd assignment not done...... posted 1st assignment done but still no reply from useless tutor (she's got til Wednesday before I complain! No replies, no returning calls and cancelled the 2 tutorials due to lack of attendance at 1st one.. I am sure she gets paid for more than just marking assignments) laundry 2 loads done, kitchen tidied done, reply to AnW'sMum done, living room list done:j. Not spended on anything but necessary petrol, coffee provided free at hotel :eek::eek:£3 pleased I wasn't paying, wasted nothing.......think that's about all.
One day I might be more organised...........

Well I've not actually managed much because I was distracted by the PC all morning and went out all afternoon/lunch. I did a good tidy this evening though :) Kitchen looks pretty good too so I guess I have a head start on that and will hopefully catch up on the vacuuming in the living room then as well. I usually do the hall, stairs and lobby when I do the kitchen anyway, since they are mainly all hard floor except the stairs!

Had a bit of an annoying evening, my best friend seems to have taken great offence to me being too busy today. It's not even as if she doesn't have anyone else to talk to, she rings about 6 other people with her problems as well as me, so stuff her! I offered that she can come round in the morning if she would like, to give us chance to catch up as I am so busy at lunch times and in the afternoons/evenings but the misery goat has not bothered to reply, till I sent a text asking if she got my message to which she replied that she meant to reply so now I don't even know if she will deign to call round. This weekend I have been feeling too ill to be dragged into all her boyfriend troubles. I did chat with her over the internet in the morning though hence my being distracted by the PC!
Am I the only one who feels this way about their closest friend? :(

    Ooo....oooo.....ooooo -

I got 2 MSE stars!! I'm not a newbie anymore :j and I didn't even notice - how did that happen??!!??

Flying has hurt my fridge. I thought I'd be clever, so I wrote my fly list on the fridge in the felt-tip pen I use on my wipe clean calendar - after all, they have the same surface, right?

Wrong. I rubbed it off immediately to test my theory.

I can still see "Twinkly Tuesday", in a certain light - reminds me of my Grandad (story involves a small child, white paint and the front room wall. Nana thought she was going mad as she could see ducks and a house :D on the newly decorated wall)

!!!DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!!!

Any suggestions for how I can remove it?

I did something similar on the dishwasher having read they could be used like a whiteboard although I did use a whiteboard marker rather than a felt tip pen. I think I used diluted Stardrops and initially you could still make out what I had written/drawn. I have just looked closely from all angles and can't see anything but I can't remember exactly where I wrote on it. So I think with subsequent wipings (just washing up liquid) it must have faded so hopefully you will be ok.
Don't put it down, put it away - thanks Valli
