Brief Catch-up....

Hex: re post on last thread, Not offended at all hun!! I used to practice employment law, and just wanted to provide a loose reply, as I haven't seen the contract!! Also had "Plain English not Legaleze" drummed into me after the LLB!:D

But, yes, you are absolutely correct.....there is a difference between PILON and Gardening Leave, and there may be a restriction clause (for example, my contract originally stated I was not permitted to work for another law firm within a 20 mile radius. This was too restrictive, as it would basically have prohibited me from getting another job in my County, and I would have to move!! I had that removed pronto!!)

Quillion: Hope you get it sorted soon - the worry is more often than not worse than the decision itself. Fingers crossed for you,and big hugs hun.

Phew! I'm sweating now lol council phoned too about the repairs I put in on Saturday :rotfl: one appointment made for my back gate, and the other two.. soffitts and shed roof, have been passed on to the builders dept.

I've also mopped the living room/kitchen/hallway/cloakroom and porch floors aswell as the list- go me!
