maybe most pwc are just looking out for their children and want to bring them up with a reasonable standard of living. As has been prev said before, its the kids that count, and they deserve better than just being dumped. So as a pwc who wants to look after the children I will do ANYTHING in my power to make sure that they get everything i can provide for them and give them a good standard of living!! If some pwc are out to fleece nrp's and vice versa, so be it, nothing i can do about it apart from make sure my kids are looked after.0

Nothing personal but the day may come when your kids are being riped apart by this system, and as you say you will do anything for your kids. I put it to you will you them support them in their hour of need or will you support the system?
That is when the telling time will be and you will have to look yourself in the mirror and ask that question! That is all I am saying, will you like the answer that you gat back from the mirror.
The saying goes we reep what we sow.
I can live with myself and in the event that my kids are, in the fullenss of time being torn apart by a system such as we have now, I will be there for them. How many PWC that are at this time useing the system to get back at former partners will be able to do the same. I would think that the number is going to be very small if any!
The future awaits us all in one form or another!0 -
To be perfectly honest, I would support my kids but advise them to make sure that their offspring were looked after and do it the legal way. No-one on here has said that you dont look after and support your own children at all. I think as you well know that the gripes on here are aimed at the NRP's that dont support their children!!! If they did then most of the posts on these forums wouldnt exist. quite simple really. When i look in the mirror i like what i can see because i am an honest person and live a good and lawful life. I dont cheat the system and live frugally but do my utmost to make sure the children are well looked after. As should the nrp do so. You are obviously one of the parents that do feel your kids come first and I applaud you for that, but i am sure you are intelligent enough to realise that there are many that dont!!0

But people like Soubrette are advocating (albeit masked), that the NRP should be fleeced as much as possible. She has obviously ahd a bad experience but should NOT tar all NRP fellas with the same brush........SHE and her like are what makes matters worses....NOT better!
Lets not forget that it takes two to tango and that not all kids (far from it), still live with the mother that actioned the split in the first place.
I am in total agreement that any NRP, whether husband or wife, has a responsibility. What i CANNOT STAND, is the hard luck wife stories that Soubrette advocates and the consequential standing that the husband deserves all that is coming.0 -
But Woody, in part i agree with you. If the world was a perfect place and people were fair, then most of the problems that we keep reading about wouldnt be happening. As you quite agree, there are bad apples in both sides of these arguments, but i am sure that soubrette is referring to those NRP's that dont pay when they should. I think that most of the arguments are pointed at those who dont pay what they should, unlike yourself who is quite willing to look after his children. I am a pwc who has an ex who earns quite a lot of money and quite simply does not want to pay towards the upkeep of our children, who were planned as such, within a marriage that unfortunately went wrong. It really doesnt matter in any of these cases who left the relationship or why, just that all children are looked after suitably financially and emotionally. So really when people get quite mean on here it is really defeating the object of these forums. I think that most of us come on here for moral support and advice. Also there are truly a lot of hard luck ex wife/husband/partner stories on here that are real so we should at least be sympathetic to those, even tho there are a few greedy monkeys as well.. But then that goes for most of life in general anyway!!0

My ex wanted to pay not a single penny towards our daughter. CSA was the only option. He was fleeced because of his own actions and no, I have no sympathy for his 'plight' as he had a choice.0

well put kellogs!!!!!!! Exactly the same for me.0

Yes and my ex recieved £16K that is documented and the CSA wont take that into account! She did not declear all her income to the CSA and was investigated by the Benifit Fraud office as well as the CSA CCT. As well as an agremetn that was broken by the CSA so that they could then apply for LO. Agreements with them are not worth the paper that they are written on as they have no concept of just what they are supposed to do!
I konw that she did not declear all her income as some of it was sent to me by the people that were paying her, redirected mail, and it was addresed to a Mr not a Mrs, so no prob in me opening it!
Let me guess, this is OK!
If you think that then you dont want to hear me reply!:cool:0
