Please remember that there are always 2 sides to every coin, if I gave you the details of my case, and I wont, you would be very surprised to find out the lengths that some PWC will go to!!
I will give you a list of the casualties on her side.
2 Police officers supended and disiplined
1 CAFCASS Officer fired his own words by a judge
1 Solicitor fired by his firm through my complaints to the Law Soc
1 Barrister investigated by the Bar Councill and removed from the case by them!
2 Social Workers sanctioned by the Court for failing to do their job.
1 Child Shrink dismised by the Judge for his evidence he prefered the evidence of the one that I had!
2 Regional Managers for the CSA removed from the case for proven maladmin, 1 burst in to tears in Court, and I don't like to see men cry!
I could go on but will just say that teh CSA will not take into account the £16K that was paid to my ex as child maintenance when teh CSA stated that in the event that I paid any money then they would have to repay it to me!
As I have said I am on rout to the Court of Appeal. Wounder why?:A0 -

Blob I have no doubt there are some PWCs who are frankly psychos. Otherwise the NRP would immediately take them to court for care - 'cos who would leave their children in the care of these people? Unfortunately one of the features of a psychopath is an ability to lie convincingly. I suspect that some NRPs are like this too.
More often some PWCs and some NRPs are just incredibly selfish and persuade themselves that denying access or maintenance is actually fully justified for whatever reason (it is very rare that this will be the case)
Most often I believe that we want the best and try to do the best for our children. However, like you said we are all imperfect and that is why the CSA decides the amount to be given to the PWC - not the PWC themselves.
The CSA are a very poor organisation and it never ceases to amaze me that they'd rather fob people off and create more work for themselves in the long term, as well as creating hell for some people, (as people have to appeal or get their MPs involved) rather than using the powers they have to look at tax returns, look at whether child benefits are still being claimed, insist on DNA tests etc.
The point really is that you and I have negative experiences from both sides of the fence - surely this in itself shows that not all PWCs are wicked harridans out to squeeze every last drop of money from the NRP and not all NRPs are greedy feckless individuals who want to drop their first family like a hot potato and move on leaving everything in the PWCs lap.
There has to be some independent body that says once you have children then you have responsibility. For a PWC it will be day to day care and doing everything you can to maintain contact, for the NRP it will be making a financial contribution above your own day to day care and doing every thing you can to maintain contact. Imperfect as it the CSA is the system for the financial side and the court system for the contact side available to those parents who cannot put their children first and agree to fair maintainence and contact.

I agree that we are looking at this from different sides of the fence and that you can't put all people in to one camp.
The prob is that not everyone has had the benifit of the training that I have had. I was trained to question people and to get the truth.
My ex had no idea of the fact that I was attached to Special Forces untill our divorce she then tried to use this as a reason for me not to see the kids. By defination we were not an easy target, both her and her legal team found that out the hard way!
The CSA go for the easy targets, fact.
In Court on more occasions than I can now remember the Judges has had to remind me that teh Presenting Officer is not under 'Cross eximination' because of my questioning tecniques! The CSA now have a barrister that comes into Court with me on every occasion, musrt tell you somthing!
I fought for this Country and some of my friends did not come home, they paid the ultmate price for teh fredom of this country, if for no other reason I will fight the CSA to the crack of doom for them. They did not die so teh CSA could live!
As for wings, yes I have my own:A and they are very similar, as we were sweet and inocent little boys:rolleyes: ask my kids, they think so! They have seen the carnage that is left after people with power go after their dad and try to stop them from seeing him!0 -
You've obviously had a far more interesting life than I have Blob

Can you come and fight on my side Blob, looks like i need your support!!!!!!! lol0

Intresting!
I defer to the words of the film 'Inderpendenc Day' "There are people dieing out there I would hardly call that intresting!"
On the line if quotes my daughter is dreading my speach at her wedding, and there is no force in this world that will stop me from being there to make it! Almergedon, Bruce Willis dad tells him in the DVD, "Children are there to give us roses in December, and you have given me a garden full"
My kids have given me more than that, after the battles with the Court and there mother and eveyone else that sided with her ,they came up to me and gave me a hug, and said "Dad I love you" in the way that only they can, all of the prob were woth it and I would have gone back to fight it all again. So anyone that has probs with contact please get in there and fight, your kids are worth it, believe me I know!0 -

Interesting does not necessarily mean good
I defer to Terry Pratchett who claims an ancient chinese curse is "may you live in interesting times"
Hardly a good thing
However, I hope things do come through for you and your children Blob and times become less interesting

Personal note
I hope times never become less intresting as they then become boring!
A Quote that is close to my heart is
We are pilgrims, Master, we shall go
Always a little further. It may be.
Beyond that blue mountian barr'r with snow
Across that angree or glimmering sea.
from the Search of the Golden Salamander.
It also appears on other things that are to give us hope and belief in ourselvs, like the Clock at Hereford!:A:confused:0
