Mobile Phone Number Transfer

Does anyone out there know if it is possible to transfer from a Vodafone Pay Monthly contract to a PAYG contract with the same provider or different and keep my existing mobile number. My monthly contract expires in a month, I don't use all my minutes or texts and I don't want to re-new my contract as I'm going to move to an iPhone when the price of contracts/phones reduce in the summer.

Any thoughts?

Just ask your current service provider for your Port Authorisation Code (PAC). This is a code that lets you transfer from one network to another if they won't let you keep your number on one of their PAYG phones.

I think a PAC lasts for 30 days ++++ DOUBLE CHECK ++++ so timing is crucial if you don't want to pay another month!
