Hi, just wanted to subscribe to your thread to offer my support. I won't say I know how you are feeling, because I don't do emotional stuff, but I am sure that you are pretty low at the moment.
Do you have family and friends around for moral support. If not, then the guys on here are good for that, as well as the financial stuff.
You say you have a 2 year contract on your broadband. Who is this with? This seems very long for a broadband contract. Have you tried to speak to them, as suggested above. I never hurts to ask.
Check out www.entitledto.com to make sure you are getting all the benefits.
And don't forget to check in on here regularly for plenty of support and advice.0 -
Hope you come back on Wolf - a lot of good people have posted here on your thread and given some excellent advice. I can only reiterate what everyone else has said already, you have without doubt come to the right place. This forum has been my saviour and with the help of reading posts, responding to posts, asking questions, and just generally talking to peeps on here you will slowly but surely start to tackle the debt problem. And not forgetting the huge emotional support too!
Please don't forget to post your SOA - once you have sat down and opened all that mail and put everything into order you will feel a huge sense of relief (after the shock) and can then start on your journey.
Sorry to hear about your partner leaving you. I hope that you will be able to come to terms with it in your own time."I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something"0 -
Hi wolf - just wanted to add my support and to reinforce the advice already given.
Please talk to one of the Debt Counselling Charities, such as:- National Debtline - www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/ - tel. 0808 808 4000
- CCCS - www.cccs.co.uk/ - tel. 0800 138 1111
- A Debt Adviser at your local CAB
Whatever their advice, the people on this forum will be only too pleased to give you the support that you need, as well as lots of advice on how you can 'trim' your expenditure without too much hardship.
Good luck.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Hi Wolfbane
Just wanted to add my voice to the supportive crowd already wishing you well. It really is the best place to be for help and support and NO judgement at all. We're all in the same boat and things definitely look much more positive when you find the courage to ask for help.
Well done on taking this step and keep posting.

just to add a few things. i have contacted t-mobile and i'm currently trying to worm my way out of the contract as the service is pretty dire anyway (even they acknowledge my house is somehting of a black spot) and have already reduced the contract by £5 although as iv told them, despite this gesture of goodwill it doesn't make me any closer to affording to pay
i have also contacted the cc companies in writing and informed them that due to my new circumstances i simply can't afford the min payments. one of them has responded and wants a break down of what my finances are and the other is yet to get back to me.
with regards to the bills, my housing benefit has taken a hell of a battle to sort out but i think its finally getting there, after the 13 wks of my full rent being paid i will get 53 ish per week and my rent is 95.
addtionally my council tax will be next to nothing with my single persons discount and my benefit - so this is one bill at least that i haven't to worry about too much as it will work out at about £4 per week (the revised bill hasn't yet arrived)
also i would like to add that im not disapearing if i don't post for a while, my broadband is just really poor and i struggle to get online much of the time. will have a look at the SOA and try and get it all down for you guys.
thanks again for all your advise so far0 -
I could be asking you for advice about the HB:rolleyes:
The broadband I can understand, mine goes a bit haywire every now and then
Have you had a look at the up your income board , the make a £10a day challange:eek:
I do a few "daily clicks" sites and some survey sites, takes a few months for it all to kick in
but it can be an extra £20 plus a month, have a look at this thread
Free Daily Cashback from sites - Q&A Board
and send a PM (Private Message) to EagerLearner
ask for the daily click guide ( i need to get an updated one)
The SOA is more for you, the clever and good will be able to see where you could save money, but a lot of the time you will see it when it is in black and white
The SOA ain't as scarry as a spending diary:eek:PROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBT NERD #869

Well done Wolfbane for getting back to the forum - I thought we had all scared you off! Can understand iffy internet connections, sometimes I think my computer is slow, perhaps I should tell the little man in the corner to sling some more coal on the fire?
You have made the first step, welcome to the asylum that is the Debt free Wannabee forum and good luck. One life - your life - live it!0
