Lidl car park

Have received a parking fine which is now up to 110 after ignoring it. However, there was never an actual ticket on the car.
If this actually ever went to court (the LIDL is in Scotland) would that be a factor?
Appreciate any help, thanks very much

Out of interest did you shop in Lidl that day?
If so do you have a receipt?
How long were you parked for?
What warning notices are displayed in the car park re parking there? (ie some shops limit you to 2 hours etc)Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

A number of Lidl car parks have cameras positioned to film your car entering and leaving with a timestamp on both pictures, this is how they get you and it does stand up in court.0

This is nothing but a scam and you're fine to keep ignoring it.
I can't explain it better than bargepole and taxiphil did recently, see below links.

In a nutshell, they've not suffered a loss and therefore you owe the scammers nothing.
Please do post back if you have questions and feel free to ignore any replies saying it stands up in court (it doesn't) or that you should pay0 -

What utter ballcocks!
You owe me £500. There! Failure to pay me in 7-days will result in it doubling to £1,000. And after 14-days I will add a charge of £10 per day until it's paid.
If you don't pay then I'm going to ruin your credit rating, tell your neighbours (I know who you are), and start phoning you at work.
That's all they do to people, and they have about as much right as I do. :rolleyes:0 -

maybe so but my local lidl has a 1.45 hour limit on their car park
plenty of time to park & shop
if people didnt take the pi$$ then supermarkets wouldnt have to do this sort of stuff to keep parking free for paying customers0 -

You are aware that Lidl's contractor for most of their Scottish stores at least are a bunch of flaming jokers who tend to take the !!!! mercillessly?
You will find many examples of them extracting it and harrassing people all the way down this forum I'm afraid.0 -

No it does not, they would not take it to court as they have no chance.
Do not give advice if you plainly know nothing about what you are talking about.
What he/she has is an invoice which he does not have to pay. He/she will get a few letters ever more histrionic and some from a "debt collection agency" which will be the same company with a different letter heading. After 6 or 7 they will go away.
