what about the folks who live in Scotland- why would they want a load of space cadets to go with all the smakheads that they've got already? However if everyone was smoking dope at the football matches there'd be a lot less stabbings.

It's just as addictive. I drink a large glass of Red every night with dinner....takes the edge off the day and helps dinner digest. If I don't I get twitchy...guess I am an addict.
    Full of antioxidants tho'.
As a gardner, guessing you have poly tunnels, if life gets a bit heavy, at least you can grow yourself a bit of a distraction quite cheaply.

If one knows where to obtain the seeds.

I've told the story before that, as our fair city does well in 'Britain In Bloom,' some wag decided to diversify the display a few years ago, by adding cannabis to the planters outside the police station. It took them quite a while to realise, apparently.

I think your genes play a part in addiction to alcohol. Certainly, alcoholism runs in my Mum's side of the family & it killed my Grandad well before his time. My aunt would never have a bottle of anything alcoholic in the house, or else she'd drink it. All that must've been worrying for my Mum when I took to purchasing scrumpy from the back door of the local pub at the age of 15.....

But I can take it or leave it, honest.

You could try making it legal and if your worried about people avoiding tax by growing their own you could impose a special tax on 24 Hour Garages as there would be a mass growth in these

I agree. A good bit of plonk in moderation is fine, and it has to be in moderation, else alcohol is as bad as any drug. ;)

Actually, it is quite a bit worse than many drugs;)

Skunk is dreadful in how quickly it attacks mental health and has nothing to applaud about it's use.

But surely if we all went the "grow your own" route it would be possible to just grow plain old MaryJo not skunk?:D . I certainly smoked my fair share in the past without either becoming addicted or suffering any other damage.

On the same theme: our local Leisure Centre has lots of those (horrible) fake plants around the place, and one of the largest is a magnificent specimen of a cannabis plant that would make the most hardened pot-head swoon with delight.

On spotting it, whilst standing with a group of my sons friends waiting for their 5-a-side football match to start I said (without thinking) "Wow! That looks so real I nearly reached for my Rizlas":o at which point I had to explain what the plant was supposed to be as they are only 13 and it is not an area where they are that savvy about these things at that age:o

Actually, it did my street cred with my sons friends a great deal of good and I got voted "coolest mum" two months running on that one:o :D
