I didn't mean to sound so snappy earlier, it's just that I was in marks and spencers trying to grab a pack of sleepsuits for my friend who is having a baby, to be elbowed out of the way by a woman with a trolley who just grabbed it all without even looking at the sizes - she took everything! And then over at the older boys section she even took a t-shirt out of my hand just as I was taking it off the rail, and marched off - she cleared the rails of older boys doctor who t-shirts too, again without even looking at the sizes.

I was really cross with her - I only wanted one of each item, she can't possibly need more than 20 of the same item. I wish I'd had the guts to argue, and say I was holding the t-shirt when the snatched it :(

Thats the reason I shop online. The thought of going into Next on sale day makes me shudder, people turn into animals. I agree that online and instore limits should be set for multiple purchases of an item. It is a mockery really that they are selling to market/ebay sellers.

I personally logged in early and spent a couple of hundred pounds. This was on seperate purchases for 4 members of the family including winter coats. To be honest, I know people are upset that some of us managed to get in before our slots but surely these people would of if they could? Dont blame the buyers, blame the system.:D

the whole VIP thing is a bit odd really, as it doesn't seem to select the customers who spend the most or shop most frequently, it's just random as far as I can tell?

Well, I got in a bit earlier than I should have done but I only bought 2 items. People spending £350 make things just as unfair as those sneaking in early in my opinion. They should limit it to one or two hundred pounds per customer, to give everyone a fair chance at the sale :(

I didn't really feel like I was doing wrong, I was buying for the 6 members of my family, and I can only really afford to buy from next when the sale is on! Sorry if you feel I was taking advantage but if not the kids would have no decent clothes!

I dont feel sorry at all for sneaking in and ordering £150 of clothing for my family. This is a money saving site, that is what we are all here for.
If your credit card offered you a low life of balance deal, would you refuse in case someone else missed out, or a mortgage deal?
My family need clothing, I want to save money where I can, look after yourself and your own.
To be honest the problem lies with Next only giving random vip invites, I spend at least a £1000 per year with them and they have my loyalty for clothing and bedding so I deserve something back.
Alls fair in shopping and moneysaving.
Sorry? me - not a bit, chuffed with my bargains.
  • I feel a little frustrated that this is the first time I have had a vip slot, and some people hacked in earlier and took some of the items without a vip! So by the time I got in at 23.00 over 20 of the items I was after had gone .
I understand people want the vip and why they did it, its just I have never had it before was so excited and felt it was a little ruint by the ammount of people who got on who shouldnt have and ordered???

Still spent over £350 so still good.

I cant believe after spending £350 you moan about people buying some of the stuff you wanted.
I spend at least £2000 a year at Next sales as I have 4 daughters. I have never had a vip slot, so I just sit here watching other peoples buys !
You know what good luck to them as we would do exactly the same in that position. I also agree if you can spend £350 you arent thinking of anyone else either are you ?
Good Luck everyone that ventures out tomorrow morning - may the force be with you x

Typical - loads of things on the winter sale - no VIP slot. Got a slot this time and hardly anything that I wanted. The one thing that did take my fancy wasn't in my size. Now that's a good way to save money!

Ok £2000 compared with £350 bit different but there you go.
Don't want to fight, first time I had a VIP slot that was all just spose I imagined that ment getting what I wanted. I understand why people sneaked if I wouldn't have had a vip slot I would have probably done the same. Sorry if I have offended anyone!
