Farm Foods? Anything Worth Trying?

They have a 75p, a 50p and even a 35p freezer at our Farm Foods. I mainly get the small tubs of ice creams and lollies when they're in there. They have Crunchie, Dairy Milk, all those in the 50p freezer and they had a galaxy one in the 35p freezer! I wouldn't buy any meat stuff from there really and don't buy ready meals or anything anyway but you can find a good few bargains in there. They often have a lot of Linda McCartney, Quorn ranges which is handy for me as I'm veggie. I don't go very often but when I do I'm always impressed.I've been lucky, I'll be lucky again. ~ Bette Davis0

I got some fish fingers in there for the kids a while back.
They were 50p for 10. I thought they must be near the use by date or something, but they were 100% cod & all the ingredients were fine.
I do like the shop, bargains are excellent. & my local one is next door to Lidls!!!!

I like their chicken thighs. You get a massive big bag for £2.50 - forget what weight it is -but they are good sized thighs. I roast them in the oven or take the skin off and put them in the slow cooker for a curry.Snootchie Bootchies!0

I like their spring rolls to a point that i will go out of my way if I see a farm food to stock up on them!0

farmfoods have some good deals on non foodstuffs
such as BOGOF on toilet rolls etc0 -
Definately only get my milk from there, 2 - 4 pint bottles = £1.60 (it's £1.05ish per bottle in most places).
Bought 2 big bags (1Kg) of porridge oats for £1 yesterday! (Thats breakfast for the month sorted - and can make flapjacks for kids lunch boxes - not bad hey?)
Also they do lots of Youngs frozen fish filets, at £3 per pack and these can all be cooked from frozen and are nothing but fish no preservatives so therefore good for you, and my lot love fish.
but they sell most big names, tins of soup and beans usually at 3 for £1 and all Heinz. And frozen oven chips even FF own (nothing in them but potatoe and sunflower oil) are £1 per bag.
I know some friends who look down on shopping in FF for some reason, but hey if they want to waste their money let them, go in regularly, you'll be surprised what you can get.0 -

one thing we bought from there to try was their chicken and mushroom pasta (you know the pack mix ones).
OMG it was the nice thing i have ever tasted. stir in some sweetcorn, top with broken crisps and grated cheese =instant pasta bake, absolutely divine!know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
I have mostly bought frozen veg from there - I tend not to buy too much, if any, re-prepared stuff anywhere.
I haven't liked the look of the meat, and I bought DH some pork pies from them, but he said they were all pie and hardly any pork (yuk!)
The last couple of times I have been, they had kingsmill bread; white & wholemeal, fo2 for £1, so I stocked up on that.
Oh, and I have to confess to having bought gateaux from them, for special occasions - they have always been good value & the same brands available elsewhere.0
