Ha ha! I spent months thinking that Farm Foods sold animal feed! Well we do live in the country, and even the local chemist stocks "horse medicine"! Will have to pop in next time I'm passing!

  • We quite often take a trip in there. I am addicted to Pepsi Max, i get 5 tins for £1 there. We love their lasagne and macaroni pies too and i can never resist some of their packet pasta and sauces for emergencys. Most of the stuff in my local store is Birds Eye and Bernard Matthews stuff etc. Most of it is cheaper than the big supermarkets too.

Milk is a steal 2 medium sized bottles for £1.60!

  • I have literally just returned from FF, and to be honest I will alter my opinion, it is now difficult to find any of their own brand stuff, Quorn, Linda McC, McCains, Heinz and all very very cheap. I have just bought 4 tubes of Cadburys Snaps for £1 and (get this) 20 bars of Cadburys dairy milk for £1, 2 kilo broken biscuits for £2, full box of Walkers (48 packs I think) for £2.50. There is so many bargains in there that it has been added to my favourites now.
The quicker you fall behind, the longer you have to catch up...
  • Quorn products in there are on permanent offer -or so it seems. I've bought bags of Quorn mince/ peices -2 for £3 Quorn Sausages etc I think 2 for £2. Was most happy with my Nouvelle toilet paper purchase -99p instead of £1.66 in tesco's. Some posh Carte D'or icecream that was alot cheaper then Tesco's - only ever buy it when it's on special at Tesco's - DD loves it. Their froozen sweetcorn/mint peas are excellent -think they were on a 3 for £2 offer last time I went in. only problem I have is my local one is very small and the aisles are sooooooooooooooo narrow you just can't stop and browse really.

Porridge, 2 bags for £1, and the nuts are good. Too much processed packaged food but there are little glimmers of hope in amongst that!

ahh, would those be the famous £2.50 off £25 spend and £5.00 off £50 spend, no expiry vouchers (2 of each)? ;)

i only once used those as we don't buy a lot of frozen food but at the time i was in very very poor health and it was a way of keeping body and soul together because otherwise i just wouldn't have eaten

one of these days though, if i can get my hands on another £2.50 voucher i shall go in and stock up on pork, lamb and banana chips... i can just see the look on their faces when they see me buying lamb chops in bulk :rotfl:
