On stage 2 of my PC overhaul now (thanks to aliEnRik for stage 1 help)
My 1gb memory has arrived from funky giraffe but it has no girly thicko instructions included:o :o

Can anyone offer any tips before I pile in and wreck something?

Thank you
Nels xx

Turn the computer off and unplug it from the mains

    Take the side panel off

Look on the motherboard (plate with all the electronics on) and look for where the ram chip/s you have are now
(Like where the arrow is HERE)

If there are any spare slots then simply plug it in (They only go one way in) ~ make sure the CLIPS are securely pressed down either side

Reboot and it should hopefully work (Goto MY COMPUTER, RIGHT CLICK and select PROPERTIES to see how much ram the computer 'sees')

have you got an ordinary keyboard and mouse to try - I guess your wireless stuff is usb connected ?
If not try and take out the round flat silver battery for a minute and then refit it and try restart
