Wanted: Cheapest (Unlocked) PAYG Camera Phone
Comments
-
Amazon are offering the Nokia 1100 for £17.74, inlcuding £5 worth of calling credit. Not the best phone around ,but as for it being the cheapest around I would say so. (If you disregard the Motorola C115 and some Siemens A55/60/62 phones that are about as they can all be a bit of a pain to use and also unlock)
Its also easy to use and also has a built in flashlight. My reality check bounced.0 -
nojkia 1100 is not a camera phone.
cheapest around is proabbly lobster 485 at virgin the refurb is £39.99 or £10 less if u r already on virgin. since it is a refurb i guess there is a chance it is unlocked. my sister ordered one last week so when it comes tomorrow i will update0 -

Popped into my Virgin sshop. They told me that the Lobster 485 would NOT allow me to send emails - my main use of this phone is sending pictures (qualioty not too important) to an email address.
They suggested the Siemens SF65 which they sell for £49 (none in stock).
Are the shop right in saying the Lobster can not be used for sending pictures to an email address (I thought all MMS phones could send emails)?
Thanks Tx0 -

Go for Refurb, its as good as new.
You can get it unlocked for £5, I got my 2 unlocked from local phone shop.
Sadly can not buy more, O2 limits num of handsets purchase.0 -
Nokia 3220 you can unlock yourself and you can indeed send and receive emails and it is a camera phone.
You can get it for £48 from the Link. There are links to unlockers on this site.
the other thing I would look at if anyone stocks them is a Sony Ericsson T610 - Camera, e-mail, cheap.
E-bay must have loads of unlocked ones...
Here's a link to a search, the dearest one is £20... T610 on E-Bay

How about the Siemens SF65 - my local Virgin store say I can have a reconditioned one for £35. Apparently it's 1MP - looks nice, if a bit big. They say they will unlock it after I have spent £30. Sounds good to me - what do others think?
Thanks, Tx0 -
If you sent for the Virgin free simcards or have a Virgin simcard anyway you can register on the Virgin website and you will automatically get £10 off all phones, including the reconditioned. The reconditioned phones are excellent, they are unwanted phones returned under the Virgin 28 day return policy.
Just checked my account online and they have several camera phones showing at the moment including the V3 at £55 although none of them in stock. If the phones show out of stock its worth phoning them to find out if they expect more in.
Provided you credit your phone with £30 they will send you the code to unlock the phone.0
