GD .. we can safely say that interest rates are low, and are going to remain so for so time to come, at under 1% for the next 6 months and below 3% for the next 3 years. What more is there to say.
What's your current position. renting, or owner (is so what's your equity).
<cough>
I'd rather you safely state that.
I know personally rates can go up just as fast as they came down.
You do realise we have been printing money?! You do realise what printing money has caused everytime it has been used?!
Why why why do BTL investors insist on stating this cant happen, not this time. Under 3% for the next 3 years is a VERY narrow prediction.
I don't know what my equity is at the moment, but as I have said elsewhere, BBC reports show a -1.9% decrease on my type of property in my area (the sort you would look to buy) since peak. It even shows a 0.3% increase in the last quarter. Personally I do not believe that as its showing -15% since peak on 3 bed detached and -19% on over 4 beds in the same area.0 -
When was the last time they hit your 8% rate ?? I meant 2 years and have corrected this.0

I just said 8 as a "what if".

On the fence investor? LOL, no.
I'm someone who has been effected by the greed of people like yourselves. Now smug, watching your downfall and insistence to deny this could get very sticky.0 -
Quote GD.
Well I'm in Shared Ownership, it was either that or rent for me, and this worked out cheaper. There was no way at all in this area that I could have got a mortgage for a house in 2006. There was an article in the paper not too long back stating people would need an income of at least £60,000 to afford a 2 bed house here.
So Devon your hardly an expert then.
They say praying might help. I'm an athestist so wouldn't know.0 -

Nope what is apparent is your jealous of BTLers who have no worries .... and are hopeful that it will crash so you can get a 100% mortgage, based on salary x 3, because you have no deposit....
Probably you ain't made a bean in the HPI and your not HP about that either....
You can but hope GD, but hell will freeze over before I'm in negative equity... get the rosary out and start praying.0
