The cold weather won't spoil them, lets face it they are going to be outside for the next few years if in the ground!

Pots will be fine, there are lots of Strawberry planters available in the shops now, just make sure you keep the watering up to date, especially when the fruit are forming later in the year. The plants will also need feeding given the restricted root run, use Tomato feed (its great for any fruiting plant)

The ones we bought from Lidl 2 years ago didnt do so well.
They didn't produce much fruit, and they are now on their last legs. We haven't even have any decent runners from them. Will be in Aldis Monday for a look though. Thanks.

I bought 6 Aldi strawberry plants last year. I have just been out tidying the strawberry bed and I counted the plants - there are 15, so lots from runners :)

Does anyone know which of the veg plants I could buy now and grow on without a greenhouse?

hello! i bought my first bit of "grow your own" this week with ONE strawberry plant! I didn't know how many I would need, so just started with one! Perhaps needed a few more?

I have it in a round pot at the moment which is about 25cm in diameter. Will I need to replant this into the ground eventually? total novice as you can see!
