oh no:eek:
im going in a couple of weeks, do they have the second floor on this year? they didn't last year
when you say one hall do you mean only one side of earls court
i was really looking forward to my coupons as well :mad:0 -
I am just back from the show also and came on here to find out what everyone thought, at least its not just me who thought it was bad, I went a few years back and it was good - got MOCs at least, so worth the effort.
This time I feel like I wasted my afternoon, didn't see any Daily Mail papers, there was an Ideal Home Mag stand - had a bedroom/living room/bathroom/kitchen display and a load of mags - I asked for a Mag as I thought it was free but they were £1 !!
There was a small furniture village house.
Various stands downstairs - Allied Carpet/windows/blinds/lighting/mirrors/beanbags/kitchen appliances/bahtrooms/loft insulation/hot tubs/ourdoor buildings/art work/sound audio stuff. Two areas where they were doing the talks
Upstairs was: Chef theatre and various foods & kitchen gadgets like dicer thing, stone hot plate thing, Debbie & Andrew sausages (they sell these in Tesco), fudge.
Will post more if I remember anything else but there was nothing very interesting to say.
I didn't even stay to see Martin as I was so bored.0 -
My friend went on Friday evening and said there were no coupon books this year. We are wondering if they are only handed out during the day-can anybody who has been during the day shed any light?0
-
Shame you didn't stay to see Martin it was good, although rather insane and funny, but very informative.
I wasn't overly impressed with the show and it was my first visit, and some of the exhibitors really annoyed me and I'll be asking people's advice on something in another post later.0 -
I agree Martn was great, but some of the questions he was asked - what a diplomat:A !!! Esp the women at the end who didn't want to relinquish the mike.:o
The show has really gone downhill, I usually go every couple of years to see new exhibitors but last years was dreadful. Went specifically to see Martin, also saw Cyrus Todiwalla in the celeb kitchen, had a Bailey's scoop, bought some nice deli food and jewellery and had my nails done foc. The coupon-fest is well and truly over!
I would advise anyone who thinks they can fill up on the food samples to think twice! Was sampling some spicy tomato chutney when the chap next to me dipped his USED spatula in the jar    . He didn't realise he was doing anything wrong, I just stood there with my jaw open in stunned disgust. Seeing he was about to contaminate a further sample I asked him if he realised he'd used the same stick!! He can't have been the only person to have done this. Poor stallowner must have been mortified but witnessed all and said nothing so lost out on my sale.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

There is a free ticket inside each copy of Ideal Home magazine for the Ideal Home Show on sale now. Plenty in the shops.
I was disappointed that there was only one floor last year and it seems from posts so far it is not very good in 2009. I look forward to this every year so I am hoping it is not as bad as it sounds!0 -

Hi, anyone have any further info on the free ticket - does it allow daytime or evening entry, weekday or weekend, is it in the April issue and if so which page?
Thank you.0 -

It comes loose inside the magazine and it says on the front that is included. We used it today and it said on it valid from 11-9 . Only weekdays. It was sooo much quieter than usual. No real freebies although they were giving away the goodie backs to everyone .My 3 year old even got one.It has a bag of mars planets in it . It is on two levels but seemed much smaller than usual. My older kids want to go but I feel that its really not worth the effort for me to go again .
Just a tip, there is a GBK and wagamama 5 mins walk away from exhibition. There are 2 for 1 vouchers on this site that you can print off0 -
We went yesterday - first time in years we have been
Last time we went it was so busy you had to queue for ages and ages to get into the show homes, but no queue at all
It was so quiet over all - we thought because it was Mothers Day was the reason for it being quiet, but it sounds like it is generally quiet this year0
